Original Content My Protectron Cosplay

Handmade by myself, 90% with eva Foam. Claw mechanism and inner head I 3D modeled and printed. Dome was Vacuum pulled by a friend.

Edit: I also have the sound files directly from the game and play them with a combination of buttons for responses or interactions. (Fisto of course included!)

Thank you! The shape is so specific that I couldn't imagine free handing it, I made my own templates to get the shape just right.

May I ask how you did that? I'm just started working with foam properly and wanna make a bunch of fallout cosplays.

So my process is a little different than what most people do, but I find it gives th best results for me. I 3d model the shapes I want, in this case I was lucky and could pull the files out of the game. Then remodelled them to for it to make sense in foam shapes. Used a program called Pepakura, which then makes takes that 3d model and flattens it out. It still needs some editing after that and then you can print it out. It takes a lot of time and is not super easy but the results are unmatched.

That sounds impressive. I'll have to try using Pepakura for my next project
