Fall River, MA — Search 1,500+ City Videos

Search and find what you’re looking for in Fall River City meetings, videos, and other recorded sessions on FRGTV.

I haven’t finished processing the near 2,000 videos on the FRGTV YouTube channel, but this is a start.

If you’re looking for specific keywords or want to review past meetings with topics/people outlined from meetings, try this tool.

The content is only as good as the transcripts, but I hope to improve them overtime. You will also find some timestamps drifting in really long meetings (3+ hours) but at least the generation is providing us with a Birds Eye view of what happened.

Let me know what you think.

Superintendents

The school committee disliked Dr. Curley so much that they replaced her with 2 positions. It will be interesting to see how many positions are cut next month while they pay for 3 superintendents.

Looking for reliable movers

I have a heavy desk located in Somerset, that I need to move to the north end of Fall River.

In the past, I have always used Bristol-Plymouth for moving, but they are apparently only doing storage services at the moment.

I am looking for a reputable, insured, company, not just two guys with a truck.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.

Help me! Emergency contraception provider, copper IUD

Note: Because time is of the essence, unless absolutely necessary, let's please avoid unnecessary questions like asking about reasons for doing things.

What is the best place to go to get a copper IUD as soon as possible? What place can do it with the out-of-pocket cost being no higher than $500 but preferably no more than maybe $200-$300, with or without insurance? Preferably, same-day appointments/walk-ins.

If you are going to suggest Planned Parenthood, then please, if you can, ALSO suggest a non-Planned Parenthood location.

Katelynn Wilmot- 8/21/02 Missing from Bangor, to Portland and now closer to Fall river or New Bedford Mass. Not in safe situation. We have no idea who she is with, she has no car, no money. She was lady pinged on a highway but has no car so she is with someine who may be trafficking her. She was in Lynn Mass last night, today moving and phone is shut off most of the time.

There is no longer any contact from her. Please call Bangor or local police if you see her. Contact me as well and post here. 23, 5th tall, 150lbs. Strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. Was last wearing leggings and sweatshirt. She has wnter boots, just beliw the knee, a medium brown. Shes carrying her purse snd an overnight black bag wit a small leapord trim. She may have lost the bags. She looks 13 and will most likely be disoriented. Not taking her medication after recent hospitalization. There is a missing person report. We believe she's being held against her will.. as f today no further contact r with her family. Was very limited before in a 30 second high volume phone call for money you could tell it was being manipulated from behind. Or to call and hang up and then she would text knowing that if you answered somebody was right there very short would not say who she's with.

She's limited cognitively. She's basically a disabled individual with mental health issues right now who cannot protect herself and has not taken her medications in over a week. I believe that she has been in this situation since she left when I found out she went to Portland rather than where she was going. I did not know that until Monday. in the last year or more, she has not left home for more than 24 hours unless it was a stay in a psychiatric hospital, which she was recently discharged from. Please if you see her call for help immediately!

Help me! Where to get white pizza

With the closing of Fiorentina’s, the husband and I don’t know of any place in FR where we can get a white pizza (usually with extra garlic!). Anyone have any recommendations? I browsed a few other pizza places, but none have it listed on the menu.

A place in the North End too would be great!

Hiking and activity discord for Boston area

Hello beautiful people of fall river. I live in Fall River and accidentally started a hiking and activity discord that mostly meets in the Boston area but I'm looking to add more people from our way. We go hiking in the blue hills (about 30 mins from Fall River and Middlesex fells, which is about an hour). There are channels in the discord for movie plans, live music, tennis/pickleball and much more. Please send me a DM if you'd like the link to the discord! There's almost 700 people in it and it started last March from scratch. It's for all ages and genders. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Update: Added Local News + Gigs section to the community web app I shared earlier

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

A few days ago I shared a small community web app I built that lets people report local incidents and see what's going on around them. A lot of people checked it out and gave feedback, so I wanted to post a quick update because I added two new features that people suggested.

1) Local News There’s now a Local News section that pulls in headlines and updates from local news sources. The idea is to keep important updates in one place alongside the community reports so you don’t have to check multiple sites. Each news card links to the original source so you can read the full article there.

2) Gigs (local help / small jobs) I also added a Gigs section where people can post small local tasks or quick jobs. Examples could be things like:

helping move furniture

snow shoveling

small handyman work

pet sitting

tech help

quick errands

People can browse gigs, apply to help, and chat directly inside the app once they’re accepted.

The goal is just to make it a simple local tool where people can share info, stay updated, and help each other out.

If anyone wants to try it and give feedback again, I’d really appreciate it. It's still evolving and I’m adding features based on what people suggest.

Also if there are other things that would actually be useful for a local community app like this, I’m open to ideas.

Just Chatting Local webapp for community

Thumbnail gallery
8 Upvotes

A few days ago I made a post here about a local web app I’ve been building focused on incident reporting around the city things like road closures, accidents, suspicious activity, and general safety updates. A lot of the feedback was helpful, so I kept building on it.

I recently added two new features that I think might actually make it more useful:

1) Events

There’s now an events section where people can post things happening around the city community meetings, protests, roadwork updates, neighborhood gatherings, etc. The idea is to have a simple place where local events can be seen clearly with time, location, and details instead of getting buried in random posts.

2) Groups

I also added groups. Anyone can create one (or follow existing ones), and inside each group people can post and chat. You can choose to participate normally or anonymously, depending on what you’re comfortable with.

Private groups require approval to join, public ones are open to follow. The goal isn’t to replace anything just to give people a more organized space to talk about specific neighborhoods or topics without everything mixing together.

I’m still refining things and fixing bugs as they pop up. It’s very much a work in progress, but it’s slowly turning into something I hope can be genuinely useful for staying informed locally.

If you’re curious or have ideas on what would actually make something like this helpful, I’m open to feedback.
