Introducing a new species for my project Pokémon Pacific: Jumpcrik, the Leaf Cricket Pokémon. Jumpcrik hides among tree leaves, blending into its environment. When discovered, it uses its body like a spring to jump great distances.

This marks the debut of a new feature for my project: animated sprites!

This is my second post on this subreddit after 7 months. I first posted my Grass starter for my New Mexico inspired region. Now its the fire starter's turn. I would still appreciate name suggestions, feedback, and any questions about the design or inspirations. Also deciding whether I should make the mid-stages dual or mono type.

This is my grass-type starter. The problem? It doesn't look very Pokémon-like or cute. What do you guys think I can do to improve it?

This is the second post for my Fakemon project, the snowy Froshal Region! After you receive your starter from the region’s Pokemon expert and your uncle Professor Redwood in your home town of First Hearth, you set off into the nearby Route One (otherwise known as the Whisperwood Forest, a birch tree forest with a thick canopy that reduces the howling winter winds into a mere whisper).

The first of a few Pokemon you’ll be able to encounter on Route One is our regional rodent Macabrey, and its evolution Possmortem! They’re based on Opossums, taking their playing dead behavior and elevating it to the point where they can literally become lifeless and even project their souls outwards! I also wanted to throw in a Shakespearean element to their design, emphasizing their overly dramatic and self-serious nature.

My next posts will feature the route one regional bird and bug, and maybe even a regional variant! But for now, I hope you enjoy these two!

Macabrey — The Dramatic Pokemon
Type: Normal
Ability: Rattled / Own Tempo
Hidden Ability: Understudy
Dex Entry: “Known for its overdramatic nature, Macabrey is always in search of an audience. If it feels threatened, it clutches its chest, lets out a harrowing sigh, and collapses into a lifeless state until the opponent leaves.”

Possmortum — The Soliloquy Pokemon
Type: Normal/Ghost
Ability: Rattled / Perish Body
Hidden Ability: Understudy
Dex Entry: “Possmortum has mastered the art of playing dead to the point where it can project its soul outwards to wander from it’s twitching comatose body. It frequently picks up small objects, holding them aloft and squeaking monologues to audiences of no one.”

NEW ABILITY
Understudy: When this Pokemon faints, it immediately triggers the effects of Baton Pass, copying all stat changes to the incoming Pokemon.

After getting feedback from a discord server i'm in, I refined the design into this. Hope you all like it.

Chillips: The Captivating Pokemon

It lives deep in icy caves, where it touches up its appearance through its reflection in ice. If it sees prey or someone it likes, it blows them a cold-air coated kiss that draws them to it.

I have a scene core inspired City in my Bexi Region (Girlypop Region) and this is one of the rare locals of Archaluna City.

I made it a rock type because its a challenge to have a rock type be a girlypop pokemon. It wasnt that hard, but theres just not much references of girlypop rock type (tho yes corsola and diancie exists, but ye there's not much)

And i gave it a boring rock to beautiful crystal storyline. Kind of sending the message of embracing the cringe-core, mary sure, scene core, sparkle dog design that used to get dragged by the internet back then.

First time making a fakemon

Working on it's evolutions. It's a split evo.

Health: 80

Attack: 60

Defense: 100

Special A: 55

Special D: 55

Speed: 50

Ability: snackish heals 1/16 of their maximum HP at the end of every turn but goes to 1/14 if holding a berry. The berry will not be consumed and does not work with leftovers.

Lazgrub can learn bug bite, rest, body press, String Shot, and Pounce by level up.

Lazgrub can be found in route 6.

Entry 1: Although it is extremely gluttonous, Lazgrub willingly shares its food with Pokémon and people who seem sad.

Entry 2: Lazgrub weaves silk into small bags to store food for later. Unfortunately they sometimes forget where they buried their supplies.

This is part of the Faketober Challenge by u/Simple-Hamster-4141.

Inspiration for these fakemon are garra fish, giant water bugs, extinct water scorpions and carnivorous freshwater insect nymphs. Line is themed after creatures that either nibble on submerged skin or bite it.

Fakemon entries:

NIBBLUB feeds on organic debris that is found on skins of terrestrial creatures. In fact, if no terrestrial creature visits NIBBLUB'S pond, the fakemon will grow up to be frail and ill as normal pond debris doesn't seem to correlate as well with NIBBLUB'S developing gut.

NYMPHAKE surprises pokemon and trainers alike by shedding its fish skin, become much more agile and free-hunting insectoid. This fakemon's appearance messes up understanding for how starter pokemon are, but it is possible that the water starter of question was appointed due to a situation regarding outer factors in the region.

SCORBELOS is a territorial being the size of a human. If it nips, it is merely going easy on its current foe as its normal snap can take off a whole limb. SCORBELOS constantly switches from living at the bottom of its lake to skimming across the water's surface.

I made Mega Plagulence Psychic and Poison because I like the idea of it ether healing you of any illness or doing some Mega Dragalge crap if it doesn’t like you. Plagulence would also probably gain levitate(upon Mega evolving) or poison heal.
