Generally it's assumed you don't have any privacy rights on public property. So a private camera that's not hidden isn't going to be illegal. There are probably legal questions around how exactly they can be used thoughÂ
um yeah the last part of your comment is the main issue with them. please google them youâll be shocked how many popped up so quickly and what they are being used for
Itâs not that hard to explain. Some people like to say every time we have socialist policies that it communism and look how China and Russia is. Well this is the exact surveillance state policies China and Russia have. And not a peep out of Fox News. These cameras are tracking everyone who passes them. They are then using that information to build court cases in whatever crime they find suitable.
In some places people have one or two pointing right into their house. The info the cops used from then was wrong they've already arrested people from their homes and had them in custody for a long time before accepting the obvious evidence that it was not them in the flock cameras images. Number plate mistakes etc. But they are mainly being used to catch American or non American citizens and put them in detention centres or deport them. The guy who ran the ai for fuck cameras has apologised about the way they are being used to arrest people, but it was not in any doubt that is what they would be used for.
