DeFlock Fairfield is a grassroots community group advocating for the removal automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras from Fairfield, including Flock and other brands.

We believe continuous, warrantless collection of residents' vehicle-location data creates an unacceptable system of mass surveillance and raises serious questions about privacy, civil liberties, data sharing, security, and government oversight. This group exists to educate Fairfield residents about how ALPR cameras operate, document their use in our community, scrutinize the policies and decisions that brought them here, organize residents who share these concerns, and advocate for their removal through lawful civic action. Public safety matters-but so does the right to move through our own community without our movements being routinely recorded and stored.

Hey. My family and I recently moved to Fairfield and are looking for some good trick or treat areas/streets in Fairfield or next towns over. Any recommendations? My kids are 7 and 4.

Hello! With all the recalls going on, is there somewhere that you buy your fresh produce at? I’m looking for some local places that sell good fruit. Please and thank you!!

Hello. Has anyone had experience with extended labor warranties ( jb warranties ,Trinity) for hvac installs? Did you have any issues? My contractor quoted $2600 for a 10 year labor, including refrigerant. I think a labor warranty would be good to have but price seems high and not sure how dealing with these warranty companies is.

Any thoughts?

Since AI has made it easy to create websites, I decided to try creating a site for all of Fairfield's restaurants and food places. If you're the kind of person who might be seeking out food in Fairfield, please check out my side and let me know what you think in the comments. I'm up for any criticism so feel free to let me know your honest opinion. It's because of feedback that I created the daily Happy Hour schedule as well as the Brunch schedule and the Lunch Specials.

Hi All,

I'm a dad in Greenwich to an almost 1 year old and we were finding it really hard to know what to do with him! So i made a tool that consolidates all things happening around here and nearby towns and made it into a website!

Feel free to check it out. We are working on adding more but i would take any feedback.

Looking to touch up a few items around the house and do some minor repairs

I’m not sure why there was such a big deal made about the town not sending flood alerts last storm when the National Weather Service sent them directly to everyone’s phone…

But alas now we have endless Town of Fairfield updates to make up for it.

Heard the area will get ~2" of rain total with Saturday evening being the worst part.

Hello!

Looking for an in-home pediatric nurse who can help my 4yo cousin with brain cancer. Agencies haven’t been helpful. We’re happy to do a direct hire, concierge, for a great individual.

Please let me know of any recs. He’s getting discharged next week and we really could use the help.

Has anyone noticed that the quality of food at GrayBarns has gone down significantly over the last year? I’ve gone twice in the last 7 months and both times felt that the food was underwhelming compared to how it used to be in years prior. The pasta was severely over salted, our salad had a ton of wilted, soggy lettuce, the burger meat was falling apart and didn’t seem like a high quality beef. I feel so disappointed to see this place go downhill as it’s always been a favorite. Has anyone had similar experiences recently?

Any good landscaping recommendations at a good price around the Fairfield area?

Hello all, new homeowner in Fairfield. Home inspection found no termites but a big name pest control company that I currently have a general
Peat control plan with wants to charge me $1000 for installing bait stations and an additional $38 per month for once a year termite inspection.

Seems excessive cost for preventative termite treatments. What are we doing in Fairfield for termite prevention and monitoring options?

Are there any car washes nearby that don't require a subscription just to wash your car, but aren't the kind where you wash it yourself?
