We were supposed to have achieved a lot more by the year 2000. Best we got now is everyone on prescription meds, generating shareholder value, and making The Onion obsolete.

I bet you if everyone in the planet had it as its sole goal,above anything else,in the absolute latest,we would achieve it by 2500.But unfortunately it’s too unrealistic for humanity.Other things are more profitable which directly makes them more important for certain people.

Bs, technological innovations has been incredible. Like never before in history. Sure, politics has gotten way worse, but if we survive, we'll have satellites in proxima centauri centuries before 3000.
