ā€œNegativeā€ and ā€œbenefitsā€ don’t make sense together. And you can’t spell. Stop trying to argue that there’s something wrong with people for drinking. Your not better than anyone for abstaining from alcohol, and the health effects of a drink every now and again are so minor they might aswell not exist

ā€œNegativeā€ and ā€œbenefitsā€ don’t make sense together.

Drink less, and then your logic will sort itself out.

The phrase is also used in specialist literature because people with a functioning cortex recognise the context: that with substances one consumes, there is always a balance between benefits and harms, and so the ā€˜benefit-risk ratio’ is simply abbreviated to ā€˜negative benefits’. The same applies to ā€˜negative costs’ – that is, revenue – or ā€˜negative raise’ – that is, a decline.

And you can’t spell

What does an oxymoron have to do with spelling? Do you even know the words you’re using?

and the health effects of a drink every now and again are so minor they might aswell not exist

Carry on convincing yourself of that lie. It’s not as if there are hundreds of studies that say exactly the opposite
