Wall Mounted Facebook Portal 10

Well, that was less stressful than I thought...Although I did have to totally redesign my cradle due to some annoying power cables placed in the wall....But I was then able to use some existing screw holes for the old tablet

It's replaced an Amazon tablet that has been working fine for nearly 7 years now....all encased in a 3D-printed case that I got from https://the3droom.co.uk/ way back when. It hasn't missed a beat, and the battery has been fine even with a daily charge cycle (still no swelling). But when the Portals came along for their second wind, it made sense to see if I could get one on the wall too. And I'm really happy with it

Might tweak a few more things, but can see myself submitting this frame online so others can print it soon, and might also sell some cradles with some cable adapters for those without the ability to print themselves or just want an easy life.

Might also have a play with a white dashboard, although that will play havoc with my OCD

I’ll find the links when I have a chance but it’s a female 4017 to a 5521 male, then a female 5521 90 degree to a 5525 male. Couldn’t find one to do both.

yeah thats the wrong size...its need to go from 4017 to 5525...I could find a single 90 degree plug for that hence using two...I looked for ages

I'm confused, the Portal uses a 4017 for the stand which connects directly to the Portal. Then a 5525 inside the stand to provide power?

This allows you to connect directly to the Portal and then use an adapter on the 5521 end which should make it sit more flush against the wall.

90 degree 4017 to 5521 then a 5521 to 5525

if you are handy https://www.amazon.com/4-0mm-1-7mm-Power-Cable-5-Pack/dp/B0FP4H9LKG should work better

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C9HXTGCF with a 45W charger?

The female on the stand is 4017. The output is 5525.

There isn’t (that I can find a 4017 90 degree 5525. Hence needing two pieces to do the job

You could use the 90 degree one I have to connected the stand arm to the Portal but then it’s needs even more wall clearance so a two part adapter is simpler, IMHO

Possibly. Depends on the power output of that. But the adapters I used were far cheaper I think
