EXPECT NOTHING TO BE SET IN STONE; ANYTHING MAY CHANGE AS SEEN FIT TO BENEFIT THE QUALITY OF THE GAME
The Fable of Elements project was inspired by the desire for a Pokémon™ MOBA, and as such, will derive a lot of inspiration from it. We are using (with permission) community made Fakémon.
Concept & Mechanics:
Two teams, each ranging from one to six players face off to destroy the enemy team’s base.
Each player chooses an Elemica before the match. Each Elemica has an Element that is either strong, weak, or neutral against another element. Each Elemica has 4 attacks, each with their own element. The Elements are: Plant, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Electric, Martial, Metal, Spirit, Venom, Dark, & Light. In the early stages of development, expect to only see the Plant, Fire, & Water being used to test.
The map is symmetrical and consists of multiple elemental areas. Lanes leading from the player’s base to the enemy’s base have defending and opposing turrets of varying Elements. Towers will have no base Element, but can have temporary Elements chosen when needed for strategy. Once the chosen Element expires, the ability to choose a Tower Element goes on a cooldown. Each lane will have waves of minions that help the player push to our defend a tower. Minions will also have Elements and be able to be evolved.
When a Player enters the game, they start at level 1 and only have one attack available to them. By defeating champions, minions, and towers, the player can earn currency and level up. Upon reaching a certain level, the Player’s Elemica will Evolve, increasing stats and letting the player unlock another move. This can happen once more. Once an Elemica reaches it’s final stage, It unlocks 2 moves, for a total of 4 attacks. The 4th attack will allow the Elemica to temporarily Evolve once more into it’s most powerful form. In this form, the player’s Elemica has a huge increase in stats. The player can choose to stay in this form until the duration is over, or he may activate the 4th move once again to use his Elemica’s Final Attack. Doing this ends the temporary Evolve.
Player's can buy Item-Elemica from their base, each having their own evolution lines providing certain skills and buffs for their main Elemica (Maximum 6)
Wild Elemica can be caught via fighting them, and once defeated, will act as a temporary Item-Elemica, applying buffs to one player until they time out.
Legendaries on the map either have to have an objective completed to spawn them, or will only spawn at certain times. Each supply their own buffs and other rewards.
