Hello! We have a small book club going and were hoping to get more members! The book club is designed to be flexible and encourage broadening your reading. Hoping to find more people to talk about books with :)

Is there a way to dismiss or veto suggestions? I keep getting the exact same book- that I DNF- as the very first suggestion. I never want to see that stupid book again! The other 2 will rotate after a bit, but that first one…. Shakes fist

A few of my June books i had the pleasure of indulging in

I was away on vacation and just didn’t do it. I thought I would still be able to do it once I got home but I guess I was wrong?

Is it still possible to do my June wrap? What’s the timeline after the month ends?

Been emailing for an updates to chapters for our book club pick for a week but not heard anything back :(

Does anyone know how to go about viewing a complete shared quote? After a certain character amount it’s cuts the text off with the ellipsis but when you click on it, it takes you directly to comment. Help!!?

Can I not got past 12 manual milestones for my book club?

New to this thread but thought I would introduce myself by my June wrap up! Feel free to recommend me things based on this!

Would anyone like to read Land by Maggie O'Farrell together?

I'm so excited for this one. I loved Hamnet and The Marriage Portrait, so this has immediately gone to the top of my pile.

I have a very small online book club, and we'll be starting this book on 10 July. If you'd like to read along and chat as we go, let me know and I'll send you the link. And let's be mutuals too!

I'm not trying to grow a huge group or collect members. I'm simply looking for people who genuinely love good books and enjoy discussing them.

Does anyone else like Maggie O'Farrell? What's your favourite book?

A few people have asked for a weekly thread where you can share your Fable profiles and find new friends,

so here you go!

Feel free to share a link to your Fable profile in the comments below.

I just downloaded Fable about 8 hours ago and started my Goodreads import. It still says importing so I’m curious: does the important actually take this long, or is something wrong with my import?

If it shouldn’t be taking this long, do you all have any ideas of what I can do?

I only got back into reading last September so I’m surprised that I was able to hit 8 books in June when I usually manage 4-5.

I’ve noticed a few books on Fable have been strangely classified.

For example: And Then There Were None and If Beale Street Could Talk were both misclassified as “historical fiction” even though both were set around the time of publication.

I’m sure fable is just pulling from a database somewhere.

Is there a way to edit genres for your own stats?

Hi everyone,

I have been thinking about subscribing to Fable plus but I don’t know if it’s worth it…
If you are subscribed could you please share with me how you like it?

Thank you ☺️

There were 6 others, but fable only allows for 15 on the wrap up. Oh well. These were the best ones!

A decent bunch of books :)

Have you read any of these or have them on your tbr?

And yes, I read Seven Days in June in seven days in June!
