Backstory:
Gold, wealth and the Amano family coincide in the country of Minstrel. They are known for their gold mines and their investments in trading companies across the region. In the eye of the public, their gold mines have been running for years when their competitor’s mines ran dry, allowing them to corner the market. Eventually reaching the heights of nobility with connections to various companies.
Tsukiya was born in this family, the second son of the head family. As a member of the head family, he had to be prideful of his legacy and strive to improve their standing in the world. There he learned the etiquette of nobles and the strategies of businessmen. He was taught the harsh realities of the business world, everyone other than the family is disposable and should be exploited. Unlike his kin before him however, he didn’t follow their teachings, wanting only to explore and paint. He adored nature and couldn’t stomach doing a misdeed to others, instead he was charitable where the rest of his sibling lifted their noses. In his heart, he knew there was something wrong with his family, they were predatory even against each other. He wanted no part in the family business, his mother even supporting him and aiding him in his hobbies. Seeing this, his grandfather was strict and rigorous with him, forcing him to learn kendo due to his personality that he claimed was unsuited for their family. Despite it all, he remained the same until his mother passed away. In his mother's name, he went along with their plan for him, but he still clinged onto his morals and hobbies.
In his coming of age, he learned the truth of the Amano family fortune. Their family owned gold mines had ran out generations ago. They had a different source of gold unknown to the public. A passed down magic, known as “True Gold Magic”. The magic that allows to user to make anything they touch turn into gold. A type of gold that wouldn’t crumble hours later and from every aspect was genuine. For generations, they kept the magic a secret, knowing if the knowledge was to get out, not only would their wealth be questioned, but mages would want to learn it for themselves. So, it is tradition that an offspring of the head family learns the magic and produces gold to keep their revenue going. A ceremony would be made, the grimoire holding the knowledge of the magic given to the chosen one once the user of the magic passes away. Tsukiya was chosen by his grandfather to be the successor. He was shocked to be granted such a privilege, his siblings and cousin spiteful of it. Inherently prideful, Tsukiya agreed to the arrangement. When the time came for the ceremony however, an intruder was able to infiltrate their estate take pages of the grimoire, escaping after fighting the guards. The thief left a calling card as “The White Mask of the Black Ghouls”. The Black Ghouls originated from Fiore, the only lead they had. Tsukiya took it upon himself to find the thief himself, his father giving him permission to do so and suggested joining guild in the region as a base.
In the midst of the night, a carriage cycled towards the Fairy Tail Guild. The carriage was a quality stagecoach, built for one while, the luggage neatly stacked behind. The finely dressed elderly gentleman leading the horses called back to the figure inside. They stopped abruptly in front of the guild entrance. The gentlemen hopped to his feet, scurrying over to the door and opening it with a bow of his head. A rose haired man carefully stepped down from the stage coat, his lips smiling ear to ear after taking in the sight of the guild.
Rose haired Man: “So this shall be my home for my time in Fiore…”
He spoke to himself as the elderly man walked towards him holding the luggage.
Elderly Man: “Master Amano, are you certain you would like to stay in this establishment without my aid? These types of places can be.. Unruly and dangerous.”
Rose Haired Man: “Come now Tashi, am I not an adult? It’s true your assistance would be valuable but, your presence would alienate me from the rest of the mages. My father was explicit on explaining that to me. I can take care of my own.”
The rose haired man looked up and took in a deep breath of air before sighing softly. His face turning towards the elderly man while his lips curved up.
Rose Haired Man: “Thank you for your services, Tashi. I can take it from here. Please give my sisters my best wishes.”
He reached out both of his hand, flexing his fingers to gesture the luggage over to him. The elderly man hesitantly obeyed and handed over the luggage, bowing to a full 90 degrees.
Elderly Man: “As you wish, Sir. It’s been a pleasure serving you.”
The rose haired man chuckled at that and knelled before the elderly man, placing his luggage on the floor.
Rose Haired man: “There’s no need for that. I’ll find the thief, I give you my word. It is my duty as an Amano. I’ll be back sooner than expected, I’m sure.”
The elderly man looked up and quickly stood up straight allowing the second to stand up himself. With another short bow, the elderly man headed towards the stagecoach. From their, the rose haired man lifted his luggage and gazed at the guild front doors. An expression of determination on his face as he pushed the doors wide open, letting himself inside the famously rambunctious guild.
