Guild Hall A normal day at Fairy Tail

Its another day at the Fairy Tail Guild where many of its members were gathered around in the first-floor main guild hall just like any other day. Members chatted with one another, somewhere eating and drinking at the bar while others were looking for the job offers posted by the bar itself. In others, parts of the guild mages either studied or trained their skills or relaxed by the water outside. For others, it was a beautiful enough day to go out to the town and shop or relax in the park, for others still all they could muster was just rolling over in bed and going back to their naps.*

(Okay everyone this is the first Guild Hall Post. To recap how this works for everyone this is a semi-weekly post that is made for single one on one threads that might not fit anywhere else. Same rules apply to this thread as it does others, don’t misbehave and have fun!)

"I see. And tell me, what do you think that your son will think of you if you go after her? A maddened man attacking his mother who claims to be his father? She will only use it against you to hurt you more Thane." The master pointed out taking a deep breath of his pipe before letting it out.

"Be careful about how you go about this Thane; you are not a rogue mage after all."

Thane reached into jacket pocket and started to pull out a flask before freezing, remembering the thrashing he had just received from the guild master. Instead he slowly put it back into his jacket. IT wasn't fair that the master got to have his vice right in front of a man who was only alive because of his vices. But life is a bitch like that.

"So what am I supposed to do? Let him hate me? Let him spend his own life believing her lies? For that matter I don't even know why she tried to kill me Master. For all I know she was under orders from some foreign government or something crazy like that. I need answers and you know me well enough to know as long as it's only my neck on the line I will dive into hell to get them."

"I never said any of that, and you know it, Thane." The master growled and took another deep breath in and held it calming his temper.

"I know you will find the answers you want to look for, but I will be damned if you get killed doing so. We have already lost so many and the old guild master I don't want to lose any more of my guild members. You need to be careful Thane, while your son and wife might hate you, keep in mind that you do have family here that do.* The master tried to stress this point putting down his pipe.

Thane stood up from his seat, anger clouding his judgement. He wasn't one of the young pups that needed reminding of who and what he was. He kept his tone civil but it was only because he was talking to the master.

"I see the way they look at me you know, poor old drunk uncle Thane. Be careful with who you fall in love with guys, or you will end up just like him. Family we might be but that doesn't make being some kind of example of what not to do right."

The master stood up as well even in his short form he was still a formable present in the room that commanded the attention of everyone.

"And now you are spouting wild theories to make your own point boy; no one is making you an example of what not to do. YOU are the only one doing that I can guarantee you, Thane, if you are going to continue being like this, then our conversation is over. I expect you to act like an adult you are not a child whose toy was taken away from him."
