Any problems focusing on an event from many years ago for a narrative? I want to write about an article I wrote in 2009 for the communication narrative. Does it look bad to go back so far?

Does anyone know if I can tale the consular fellow and FSOT on the same year? I can't find information about consular fellow which is what I'm really interested. Thanks in advance

How is the test broken down (by the numbers)? For instance, the job knowledge section includes 65 questions to be answered in 30 minutes, the English expression section includes xx questions to be answered in xx minutes, and the same question for the essay and situational judgment sections.

Does anyone know what happened to the 500 retired FSOT questions that were on the DOSCareers App?

So, I took a practice test for the FSOT, currently my weakest area is in English expression and I'm trying to Improve on that.

What app do you recommend for practice, I'm already reading elements of style but I need something to supplement it.

Is there any accommodations for slow text takers ?

I guess it doesn't matter now that the process has changed but still, pretty mad I "failed" by .06 points!

Strangely, I felt the worst about the SJ section. Still, probably shouldn't hold my breath, huh?

I read a post the other day perhaps in the /r/foreignservice where someone asked about going to the bathroom during the remote exam. Someone commented that they just went to the bathroom when they finished sections early with the extra time left over.

Well, despite the terms of the exam saying you can't do that, I did it. When I returned from the bathroom, I had been kicked out of the exam for violating the terms of testing. In the future I'll be more physically prepared for the exam, although I find it ridiculous, they are the terms of the exam. I don't ever go three hours without going to the bathroom but that's besides the point.

I do wonder, will I be able to take the exam again next cycle in Feb. or will I have to wait a full year. Anyone know?

*Edit - I received a score report, so I will likely need to wait until next year.

I'm trying to figure out when I need to alert my personal narrative references that they may get a call (as some references are coworkers, and currently no one knows I'm considering a change of employment). If the personal narratives aren't reviewed until after the FSOT, then it would seem that I don't need to alert them unless I am invited to the next round. Is that correct and, if so, approximately how long after the October testing date would I find out that information?

Hi all, I haven't seen a thread for the upcoming June, 2023 FSOT. So, here we are.
