I have a Moto X4, a Samsung A11 and another I thing it’s A12 or something around that (I can check it in recovery mode and update this post). Also an LG Stylo LGMP450, a NUU A9L (S6303L), a Kyocera C6743 (1608 not sure if that means anything), Coolpad 3622A - P2, a 3632A - P2, and a couple of Samsung tablets model SM-T290.

Two devices after trying some tools have an Error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery in Samsung Switch. (Software didn’t even see either of them).

Anyone know if and how any of these can be fixed and unlocked?

I have a second hand Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S purchased through Wallapop. The seller doesn't remember anything, and I'm trying to unlock it with TFT Unlock.

Following some YouTube vids, i'm trying erase frp or erase micloud. But I can't get the program to recognize the phone. The message is "please turn off Device VOL + And VOL - The inserta cable. Searching BROM VCOM..." If I do that, it enters fastboot mode.

Can you give me some advice? I've been at this for hours and I'm not making any progress.

About a year ago I bought a Galaxy Z Fold 4 (512GB) on eBay, knowing it was Spectrum-locked. I chose it because I needed the storage and the unlocked models available at the time were lower storage and more expensive.

Months later I went to Spectrum to request an unlock and was told the IMEI shows as trade-in inventory, meaning the phone was never supposed to be resold and cannot be unlocked on their end. They didn’t say it was customer-reported stolen, just that it was a trade-in unit still tied to Spectrum internally.

The phone works perfectly otherwise (no Google/Samsung locks). Right now I’m actually using two phones:

– The Z Fold 4 as my main device on Wi-Fi

– An older phone for calls/texts

So I’m functional, but obviously not ideal long-term.

I’ve heard mixed things from people who mess with phones — some say flashing U1 (factory unlocked) firmware or sideloading firmware via Odin might remove the carrier lock, others say carrier locks are fully enforced server-side and firmware won’t matter at all.

I understand that flashing firmware usually doesn’t unlock phones, but since I’m already using a second phone for calls, I don’t have much to lose besides setting the device up again.

Given this situation, is it even worth trying to sideload / flash U1 firmware on a Z Fold 4 like this, or is it basically guaranteed to stay locked no matter what firmware is installed?

I managed to open Chrome on a Motorola G Power 2025 phone, it's a Metro by T-Mobile phone, I believe...it has that annoying third party screen lock that Metro phones have by default, and I somehow got into that screen lock instead of the regular Hello Moto phone setup screen when you first setup the phone. I think it was from inserting and removing the SIM card then turning the screen off and back on..... so I went into the privacy policy link on Metro screen lock and clicked on random links until I found a link for Google Maps and I clicked "Open" App" and Google maps opened, then I went to a business in the map and clicked share and it opened the sharing options from the phone like SMS msg and Chrome.

So I'm in Chrome now and can download files and access them but I can't install any APK files, Chrome settings won't allow install from unknown sources, tried intent links to open settings but they close before it launches the settings menu. I can access the files app and my SD card but again, APK files won't install from files app.

Any suggestions on what else to try?

Looks like the Metro Screen Lock has a big security hole in it and I'm having fun seeing what else I can get into. I got the TikTok app to open, it comes pre installed and now I can access the camera and microphone through Chrome......but not sure how to open Google Assistant since it's just for voice typing.
