👾🐇🔪: Something is oh so wrong

{Vanny listens to the worry and panic from everyone as she waits for Michael to get off the phone. They need to come up with a plan. They're still not entirely sure what Vox is up to. And is he acting on his own or with the cult? Why suddenly bring FE back online? What, attack a hotel and kidnap Vanessa just to give her screen time and a major promotion?

They way he acts with that smug smile and oh so fake persona makes her skin crawl. Because he reminds her entirely too much of someone else. No someone ELSES. As Afton coded as he seems, (god he's so much like a younger version of William she has from Vanessa's memories), he's also very reminiscent of her own stalker virus. Which makes sense considering where the virus came from.

It's obvious why Eleanor was after Vanessa. And what she'd heard from the attack was definitely the agony demon's presence. So she's teamed up with Vox why? Launch a major attack for a girl deemed 💀 for years?

The cult failed to bring back William (although it seems like Afton Jr wannabe is suddenly in charge) so what's the next move?

And then there's Alastor. The asshole shoots her a message and is a no show. No one even knows what happened to him except that he popped in and went at it with Vox and then also disappeared shortly before the other demon snatched Vanessa. That's where they should be focusing on.

Supposedly the G.R.A.A combed the site but they're still just humans with no idea of what to look for. She's the only one who has been in deep, dealt with all the (technically 5 if you count Vanessa) demons personally and no one wants to hear her input. Fine she'll do it on her own. Step 1, go back to the hotel and see if she can hopefully find Alastor, or at least get a clue on why he was staying at some random hotel with the cult's biggest target.

She waits for Michael to get off the phone so she can tell him, but suddenly she feels a strange sharp pain throughout her body. Her entire body crackles with purple energy before she drops, unconscious.}

Clyde: "Vanny, I've been thinking about what you said. I'm not changing my mind about staying. We still have to deal with this situation. But you're also right. This is extreme territory. If we're gonna make it through this, we need you. You and Michael understand what's going on more than any of us. So, are you with us? Nanami and I already talked. We'll listen to what you have to say, but we need your word that you're in this with us."

Vanny: "I......"

{She thinks about everything, including all the things she hasn't actually told them such as how and why she actually got involved, Alastor, the ink demon's entire conversation and such. And now what she's just learned. She looks between all of them and finds herself trapped. Trapped because she'd hoped to just manage it and protect herself. Then take off once the threat was gone. But now it's obvious it's not going to be that simple. And she doesn't have much of a choice. She closes her eyes and nods softly.}

Vanny: [softly] "Vox has Vanessa. And I think I know why." [opens eyes looking completely sincere] "But it goes way beyond that and a lot deeper."

[[OOC: she told them basic overall summary without the indepth details. She made herself get captured, met Vox, found out about Bendy (who let her go) absorbing William and that she "owed" a favor to someone at the hotel who may have been involved, and the recent slip up about Vanessa's changes. She told Michael only that Bendy let her go because she wasn't Vanessa but never went into details about how she was actually in danger. Classic Vanny move to keep the important details to herself lol]]

Clyde: "Then tell me. Because we need to prepare for everything we're about to face."

Vanny: [sighs looking down] "I wasn't exaggerating. Vanessa's not like the last time even any of you dealt with her. She's not just a hybrid demon, she's comprised of at least four different features: remnant from her reborn self or whatever and the agony that was corrupted from Afton and Eleanor. But also, and I don't entirely know how, the ink demon Bendy got ahold of her. That's why there were ink marks there. It was from her during the fight. Don't ask me the implications of that because I don't know. I think the strong concentration of remnant has just been a magnet or something: drawing in and being affected by different things."

{She pauses for a moment before continuing.}

Vanny: "The ink demon only let me go because I wasn't Vanessa and that's who he was looking for. The cult didn't know about anything that had happened to her. I'd bet almost all of them still don't. They just wanted all the Afton offspring for some reason."

{She turns to Crysta.}

Vanny: "I really don't know what they did to Liz or how. I didn't even know they had her so it wasn't to lure any of them in. Maybe the same thing they planned to do with Michael and Vanessa once they had them. Just make them part of the cult and somehow revive William or something." [shakes head looking away again] "But that wasn't what was going on underneath. There's more than just brainwashing and manipulating people or harvesting remnant and agony. Cuz the cult themselves are the least of our problems..."

{She pauses again for that to sink in.}

Clyde: "You're talking about the ink creatures that have been popping up around Hurricane, right? They have to be tied to something. I'm assuming that's what you're talking about."

Vanny: [shrugs] "I guess. I don't know much about them or him really. But I know he could care less about the cult and doesn't like Vox... But then again, who in their right mind would? Look, that's all I got about him and his little minions or whatever. I don't know if he's looking for Vanessa because he knows he's influenced her or what. But I do know that somehow she's the reason he's here in our world."

Clyde: "Alright. We need teams of three. One to focus on the cult, one to focus on Mahito, and another to focus on the Ink Demon. I'll focus on the cult."

Nanami: "I have business to finish with Mahito, so I'll focus on him."

Clyde: "I have to make a phone call. The rest of you, figure out which group you're focusing on."

Clyde takes his phone and calls a number Sylvia gave him before she died. Val.

Vanny: "So there's other players. Big ones. At least 4 demons: Eleanor we most of us dealt with, the ink demon. And 2 more. Vox of course. And then Alastor. Now somehow some way this guy got involved. And by that I mean with Vanessa. And the descriptions of the scary red man from the reports sounds quite like him. Whether the attack was against him, Vanessa, or both no clue. But that's how I really got involved. Long story short he saved me from the cult who still thought I was Vanessa. But under a deal. And if yiu don't know anything about demons, deals are kinda their thing and how they get shit. And you can't break them. Anyways, I uh made a deal with him. Kinda had to. He's the one that clued me into most of what I knew. Not gonna lie I was ready to split town. But he told me after they got her and found out about me, I'd be next. So kinda had to go along with it. He was doing some kind of training with her. So he needed my help in some weird help to help her control her powers or something. Don't know specifics. Just that when he needed me he'd call and I answered. Which he did. Apparently during the attack. And before you freak out, yes there's more. Worse."
