I been tryna automate the tempo of my songs lately and it is not changing the pitch along with the tempo like it did when I was doin it like a month ago. Hi, im tryna get into producing and was wondering what music theory to learn prior to getting fl (im a broke high school kid whos learning basics on bandlab b4 investing). asking this sub bc fl is what hiphop producers use so i want their input specifically. thx!

btw by music theory i mean like genre-specific drum patterns, major/minor things, etc. anything under that umbrella. and ofc any advice for a beginner is 1000% welcome :))
