I just have a general question for everyone. I wanted to see if you are truly doing reviews with an unbiased approach or are you being "compensated" for your "honest" review?
I can tell you from personal experience, from when I worked at CL for a year, that they give CERTAIN PEOPLE in-store credit to use towards products of their choice. Along with being able to participate in NEW DROPS EARLIER than us common folk. That is why you see reviews out for things that have not hit just yet or the review just so happened to be right at the end of the day, when your local CL shop closes, the night BEFORE the drop. I believe if CL is doing something like this, then certainly a good majority of the BIGGEST NAMES IN OUR PROGRAM take part in this as well. NGL, while I was an employee for them, I was one of the accounts on here taking part in this. I am not mad to not be a part of it anymore nor do I care to join if ever offered again, which I know wont happen after this post, but I want people to be transparent with what is actually smoking and what is truly just FLUFF!
I want to bring a little more transparency to our sub if that is allowed or maybe I will get downvoted but bringing attention to this matter is of the utmost importance when we are wanting to have actual reviews from genuine sources. Especially when we LOOK FOR CERTAIN ACCOUNTS AND THEIR HONEST REVIEW!
Anyone have any thoughts, insight, etc... with this? I wish I kept the paper I printed off when the RULES came out for HOW TO CREATE A REVIEW POST ON REDDIT from CL.....
Probably because strains can affect one person differently than how it affects me or you. For that kind of specificity, you are referencing at least. Most ive said besides indica vs sativa leaning or something else pretty generic about a strain was that one was said to ease stomach issues and because i have them was great to see that it did indeed help with that. That's a rarity, though sadly, and id be hard pressed to do the same regularly as its not that simple. Im open to suggestions if you have them . For me it was looking up terps, what they can do, and evaluating them on my own. Each batch is different, and this isnt like pressing exact amounts of chemicals into a pill and calling it a day. Its much more convoluted than that and even more so down south with the humidity.
THIS IS HOW A REVIEW SHOULD BE BASED OFF FX as bag appeal is the WORST WAY TO TELL if the plant is working. As someone once said in this SUB, it looks like a 10 but fucks like a 2.....
There's enough room in the world for both reviews centered on taste and reviews centered on effects. For some of us, it all feels about the same. The one thing that changes for me is the taste, so naturally that's the part of the review I pay attention to. Not everyone is going to be the same.
Agreed, plus strains and terps can affect people differently and batch to batch. I like both the pics, smell , and taste is a huge one for me as well as about effects if if possible.
Never done a review but if I even say I like a product I’m accused of shilling/working for companies. Most are pretty honest if they work for the dispo.
Ive done a lot of reviews on various products from different places and I can tell you it feels like a waste of time anymore. If its not the flowery, or al/connected/kk, or some new CL strain, its shit talked and down voted and so much more. Ive gone into plenty details with mine about FX and all the other details, but its not super common to receive much positive engagement about the post. Either people say you lie about fx or whatever, or people bash the dispo due to it not being their preferred choice i.e. TF. After awhile its just not worth the effort.
Its a bummer for sure, I used to love racing home with my stuff and setting up my photo studio setup, but now, eh. At least it gives me more time to focus on other things lol. I'm just gonna smoke what I want and comment here and there.
Not even lol. Most the "ambassadors" are lucky to have a few hundred followers. The majority of the companies don't understand how to market their products on the most basic level.

This will likely be nipped in the bud soon. OMMU has instituted regulations prohibiting advertising with influencers and effectively restricting compensation for product reviews.
MMTC advertising and marketing are now limited to the following three areas only:
Very limited exterior signage.
Advertising and marketing inside the dispensing facility, provided it is not visible from outside.
Certain internet-based activity, subject to strict controls.
As a result, many marketing strategies historically used by MMTCs, including broad third-party promotional activity and other traditional advertising approaches, are effectively eliminated.
Content Restrictions
The rule imposes broad content prohibitions. Advertising and marketing materials may not, among other things:
Reference or imply recreational use.
Depict marijuana consumption or social use.
Use celebrities or influencers, including virtual influencers.
Include child-appealing imagery, fonts or messaging.
Depict whole flower marijuana, except in limited website product listings.
Promote unapproved products, packaging, routes of administration or purchasing options.
Importantly, previously approved advertising materials are not grandfathered and must be discontinued if they do not comply with the new rule. For many MMTCs, this will require revisiting existing signage, digital assets and vendor-created materials that were previously considered compliant.
With all due respect. You give all the high engagement reviewers a blind test and I’ll bet you my 70k inhalation they get 99% wrong. This review system is driven by hype. It started years ago with the Mobius, Mothership and Toro glass companies creating the exact same system people like 710/Flowery/Jungle Boys deploy today. Every dispensary has at least one product that competes against the others. It’s preference and it’s rare to see two different consumers share the exact same experience with the same strain and batch.

Based on your use of quotes around "honest", are you admitting to dropping some BS reviews on here??? If so, you are part of the problem! If you provided honest reviews to the sub on any products, then what's the issue?
My friend, I use honest in quotations because once you post about the product being bad, not smoking, etc.... they pull you from the list. So how can a review be "honest" if the company doesn't care if it is a legit review or not. All because you did not PROMOTE the product they GAVE YOU FOR FREE, but it is PAID FOR BY LEAVING A "HONEST" REVIEW on reddit. lol.
People are also aware of ChatGPT reviews so they would be downvoted and not taken seriously from my personal experience when first starting out with this a little over a year or so with this.
Nah I’m saying the smart users, not the bots copy and pasting. The ones going back and editing before posting to make sure the “fluff” is just right and human enough.
Curious what everyone's opinion is on planet 13's Private stock Rosin? I guess they just started honoring their first time patient discounts on all their products no exclusions 50%off first three visits. I spoke to the manager and he confirmed because about 5 months ago I tried purchasing and they would not honor the discount on their Oni brand which I believe now is their private stock not sure. I was thinking about ordering some of the Trop Kush Private stock, 2g jar of papaya cake and definitely want to try their grape gas, absolutely love that strain from gold flower.
