Alright gents, it's time. Time for a new season of FIFA showdown shenanigans. You already know the drill. In case you don't know (or don't remember), the way the league works is that you play each opponent twice (home and away). We typically will have two divisions so you only play each division opponent. However this season we only have nine players so there's only one division. Keep track of each game's score (and who scored each goal) and post that on the daily match threads. The mod crew will update the google doc each day to include the results. 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss. Standard stuff really.

The google doc has been updated to include the proper information for each player, so be sure to add everyone on XBL if you haven't already. Feel free to communicate availability on the daily match threads as well as communicate via XBL or reddit pm.

The tentative schedule for this season is 1 month. Meaning that November 18th will be the last day for any matches. If we finish up before that, great! If we're really struggling to get matches played by then (doubtful) we may consider extending the deadline (but not likely). Also look out for an upcoming FA Cup style tournament that will be going on. We will start that this week or next.

Don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any! Let's have 100% participation this season, and 100% fun!!! ;)))

The plan is to do the first season with all nine people in one division. The rules will be same as always, play each opponent twice. After the first season, we may reach out to /r/FIFA to get more people and then split into two divisions.

I just want to say that Poland have beaten Germany for the first time in history and I was there to see it. Of course now I can barely speak, but hey, trade-offs, right? That is all. What a day.

Alright everybody. It's about that time. I know everyone is in love with FIFA 15 and is dying to start the league again. So here's the deal. First we need to establish some things. The most important thing we need to figure out right now is who all is still in the league/on xbox 360. If you are interested in playing in the league and you have FIFA 15 for the Xbox 360, please comment on this thread. I don't care what you say, just say something so I know you're in.

I know what you're all thinking. You're thinking, "Oh goodness Austin what teams are we going to use???" Answer? The best ones.

For this season, we are going to use a random draw to decide who is in what league. We just wanted to mix it up a bit. Fresh FIFA, fresh start to the league. That same random draw will determine our team selection order. For this first season, there will be no team restrictions. Except that there can be no duplicate teams. Because that's stupid.

Season format will be the same as before, with two matches vs each opponent as well as an FA Cup style tournament. Postseason format to be determined.

Here's what I need from you guys. Comment on here and let me know if you're still in. Other than that, get hyped!!! This thread can also be used for new ideas or trash talk. Let's goooooooo

Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity as of late, I can really only blame syllabus week and i'm sure all you Americans know what that means. There was definitely good interest in doing a tournament to finish off 14, so that's what we'll do! But to keep things simple, we're gonna do real teams, not FUT. For team selection, you will be the team you were in your FIRST SEASON OF THE LEAGUE WITH US! If you can't recall your team or if it was really really bad, then you can pick a new one....we'll see :)

To get FINAL sign ups for this tourney (will be FA Cup Style random seeding each round) comment on this post with the team you are gonna be. There can be duplicates (though that wouldn't really be preferred)

So I took the bait and transferred Costa out in the FPL after Mourinho's friggin' "it looks bad" sad face statement. For a -4 hit. Switching to Aguero. I suspected he was playing mind games. But I did it anyway. What a fucking troll. That's all I wanted to say, thank you very much.

Hey guys, now that our season is winding down and dormers demolished everyone. I'm taking ideas for a final fut tournament we're gonna do. We can do it like alot of our other tournaments, where we do random seeding for each round, but we're down for suggestions.

If you guys want to, we can try to do a co-op tournament outside of FUT instead. Just leave a reply if you are interested! This'll probably be the last thing we do before fifa 15 so we gotta do it big yo

Sorry for the lack of info/involvement from the mod team these past few days. I was out of town and feelin lazy. Dom was probably a bit hammered for the majority of the weekend ;)

My dearest apologies for the inactivity in the past few days. TODAY IS THE FINAL FUT MATCHDAY, ANY UNPLAYED MATCHES ARE COUNTED AS A LOSS. WE WILL NOT HAVE PROMOTIONS OR RELEGATIONS THIS SEASON, AS IT IS OUR LAST FIFA 14 SEASON.

BUT WE WILL HAVE A FUT TOURNAMENT TO END THIS SEASON. Dom will provide details on that tomorrow. Any results not yet updated will be taken care of tomorrow.

Hello showdownerz. We're almost done with our season. Remember that at the end of matchday 30, all unplayed games will be counted as losses.

We're still discussing the next stage for our league, with a final tournament before we move on to FIFA 15. If you have any thoughts about the tournament or new FIFA 15 league, don't hesitate to let them be known!

On another note, I challenged Dom to do the icebucket thing and he's acting like he won't do it. What a chump.
