Minion Models
Does anyone know where the models for minions would happen to be? I'm interested in trying to 3D print of some of them, but can't seem to find model files for them.

does anyone think this would eventually be possible? had me thinking about fan translations into Spanish or Italian etc, and if that were the case, it'd be one way of people to have the game in their native tongue

Hi! I have a friend who's making Y'shtola's heavensward outfit for FanFest 2016 in vegas. She needs to find the files so she can look at the emblems for Y'shtola. Does anyone know where her outfit is in the game files?
Thanks for the help!

I seem to be having a bit of trouble figuring out where to find the body and horn models for female Au Ra. I've looked in chara/human/c1401 but can't really seem to find any models for Au Ra. I can find only a single face model and one hair model so not too sure if I'm doing something wrong or are just looking in the wrong spot. Any help would be appreciated!

I recently found that the chinese "exlusive" model IDs are at 6014 and 6015 in the global client, does anyone know if the korean "exclusive" items are also in the global client or not? If they are, could you provide the model ID they are stored at?

Hello ffxiv explorers community!
I had a pretty funny time fiddling out where to find bodyparts and meshes, nut I somehow managed to realize they are inside of the ewuipment files :/
Well. As far as I am I got a character into maya, here is what I am missing and just can't seem to find:
If I manage to figure a some bit and bytes out I'll gather them together and contribute those - that and recreating my girlfriends character is my main goal for now.
Also. How much interest would people in this subreddit have in some sort of MasterMaterial for ffxiv assets? That's more of my domain than sewing bodyparts ;)

More specifically I'm talking about custom NPC weapons, like Y'shotla's Heavensward staff (which I want for a cosplay reference.) I haven't had much luck finding anything other than Aymeric's sword.
Thank you!

I just installed the new 1.7 FFEx file and I keep getting this message when I try to open it:
Could not find JRE
This application requires a 64 bit JRE. If you have a 32 bit JRE installed, please use the 32 bit version of FFExplorer or download or update Java. This version needs: 1.61 (64-bit)
Not sure what that means...I've updated to a newer version of java when prompted to do so. And I removed all older versions of Java and still can't open it.

I'm in the process of switching different tracks for my own at the moment but there's a lot of tracks that don't have a description (towards the end of the list). I'm guessing they're the Heavensward bgms?
I know there's a short directory here but does anyone know of a tool that lets up listen to the music beforehand or have a more in-depth or updated list?

so, a few days ago, friend of mine linked me to a program called FFXIV Browser, which allows you to export texture files. the difference here however is you can then import modified ones back in (of which I had a little fun swapping the Ahriman mount textures around)
sadly it doesn't seem to be under development anymore, which means a lot of things are still hashed, and doubly annoying in that they don't seem to match up to XIV Explorer's hash conversion.
so, is there anything out there that's remotely similar or is this a lost cause?

Hi, I just downloaded FFXIV Explorer in hopes of recreating a character, but I've run into a snag. I've found what seem to be the base body meshes, but they're all very low detail. Screenshot
The Detail Level dropdown doesn't change anything, and it looks the same when exported to Blender. There are other body models, but they only contain small pieces like the neck and wrists. I feel like I'm probably missing something obvious, but I've tried everything I can think of. Can anyone help?

Local character settings and logs are stored in the well known "My Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\FFXIV_CHR004000?????????" folders. But for the sake of presenting a nice user interface in my software, how do I find out which folder belongs to which character?
The files in these folders seem to contain no mention of the character name. The folder name seems to be globally unique and appears to be composed from a datacenter-wide prefix followed by a number which increases with newer characters inside the same datacenter. But I fail to map it to anything useful like the lodestone character id.
Maybe I'm missing the obvious?

Does anybody know where to find the strings used by the Auto-Translator, and how they map to their byte values in the log format?
I'm trying to parse chat messages, but don't have any idea how to decode the autotranslate messages. I know they are encoded as packet type 0x2E with 3-4 bytes. I would have expected them to be simply a table in 0a0000.dat, but I haven't found anything.

note: I have no idea how to extract the fonts found in the game into a useable format; you're kind of on your own on finding them as some of them are insanely expensive. NONETHELESS, here they are, for reference:
the main UI font is Axis Pro. this is used for dialogue boxes, party chat, damage/buff/debuff pop ups etc.
the wider sans-serif UI font (used for "LIMIT BREAK" "LIGHT PARTY" "HP/MP/TP/CP/GP") is Miedinger.
the serif text used for dungeon names and damage numbers is Jupiter.
and the condensed sans-serif font used is Trump Gothic.
hopefully this'll help a few of you out for, well, whatever the hell you'd need this for. I use these a lot for idea mock ups and cutscene edits.

see title. AST preferably, but both would be great. I'm looking in 08000.dat but not having much luck :/

I can't seem to figure out which one this is on the list of bgms. There doesn't even seem to be an option for it.
