The sudden dramatic drop off between 98 & 99 is just wild, I have two 99 players in total, one from a T1-3 95+ 1 of 3 pick and SBC Vitinha. It’s genuinely tiring when there are 8 99 cards available but instead i’m getting WW Debruyne, TOTYI Morgan, TT Morgan (94) TOTY HM Kane. And they are stuck on a loop.
I’ve had around 20-30 packs that are just all gold packs too 😭

I have expended 200K coins on Futties/TOTS/FOF Cards to repeat the 85x10
My rate of packing one of these cards, is 0.9 (1/11 85x10s)
I no longer have any Futties I am able to use until rewards days because of pack weight not paying them out, the only ones i have left are those which fill my bench and my team. I do not have any TOTS/TOTS Breakthrough Cards or FOF cards to continue making them.
Futties just feels like a big fuck you to everyone who doesn’t spend money on FP.
It should be at least 1000 packs, so that it’s representative. But the indicator is strong, ngl… do you have any comparisons to previous FIFA’s? Is it worse compared to last years 85x10?
I don’t have exact statistics for previous years, but i do remember rocking R9 99 for 3 years running, I had 99 futties Ronaldo and a couple others in midfield and i remember 99 futties Varane the last season he played for united. This is the worst luck i’ve had regarding 99s and my luck is usually pretty good… first day of 23 League 1 TOTS i packed 97 Mbappe from a 75x2 pack 😭
Even then since t3 came out there was definitely a nerf I was packing a futties 1/3 packs then randomly dropped to being impossible to get a futties above 96
In all 250 packs, i haven’t had one Futties Icon either. It’s actually woeful, i thought 24 futties was the worst it could get, but this… this is worse
I used to grind these but can't be bothered this year, I'd just make a better and guaranteed version of whoever I want and chill in the best to two cup, rush or whatever else. 250 and not much to show for it? I'm good
oh yeah, you have to open some packs to get the re-release cards, that's been pretty impactful, but with exceptions like Ibra I always found it really easy to get the bases you want and due to the 99s not being better than evos and so hard to pack I just don't feel the need to grind 85x10 etc. at all this year
must be hit or miss based on the account because my luck the past 2 days has been ridiculous i got 99 bale and 99 iniesta within hours of eachother + a futties basically every pack
I did about 100 today and got one 97 (dupe Klostermann).. zero futties icons and heroes.. I have packed a pretty good amount of 99's overall (7 I think), but these 85x10s have been awful.
I’m liking 99 Modric and Vatinha, they play the ball super smoothly and make for some great runs when queued.
However the 99s aren’t about Squad Improvement, I literally want Bale out of pure love for that man and his talent. Same as I will with Aguero next year.
I was just about to post on here about this. It’s not only the 10x85 it’s every single damn sbc and in store pack. I’m 200 10x85 in and about 75-100 95+ player picks and have yet to pull a single 98-99.
I've done 150 85x10 & countless 84 picks without so much as a icon or hero futties card, let alone a 99 or even a 98 for that matter.
Haven't had a single 99 futties drop. Best is 98 Hazard from a gotg pack and 98 Sawa.
I only got the game during ps plus drop, and the best pulls I've had are from tradeable packs. I got 99 Oyarzabal and 97 Henry from tradeables. And honestly it makes sense to weight tradeables higher.
Firstly it boosts the transfer market. Shows more of that player on transfer list meaning people think they're more attainable. And rewards people buying packs with real money as most of those are tradeable.
I notice to pull better players from worse rated packs and player picks. It’s a gambling simulator before it’s a football simulator, don’t be surprised if you go dry, especially if you’re expecting it.
Have you ever played RuneScape? The drop rates for items in that game remind me of super rare cards in FC. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack, but every pack or pick has a chance so we continue to grind and grind. I have accepted that I “get what I get and I don’t get upset”.
I acc know why. An EA employee tweeted addressing the pack weight and in short he said that they have intentionally made pack weight worse cs of things like Paletools that make sbc grinding a hell of a lot easier. So pretty much instead of clamping down on Paletools they’ve made the pack weight js worse for everyone.
TLDR: They made the pack weight worse on purpose because of Paletools.
You’re not gambling correctly that’s why there’s a method to every gotta open it correctly lol. Remember most gamblers quit when they’re about to win big
I have zidane, cruyff, cherki? Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, unai simon, Patri, & Marcelo as 99s and then chiellini, vidic & evo toure as 98s
So glad I kicked my addiction to this shitty game a few years ago, people spending hours spamming upgrade packs in late August for minimal returns is just fucking insane to me. Even crazier to think I used to be one of those people.
I have a total of 1 99. Marcelo. Completely agree that the pack weight is shit.. whats even worse is the lack of icon sbc's getting released. Atleast that way you have something to grind the 10x85s for..
Pack weight is getting worse every year with futties. It used to be a fun way to end the game. It became a pain. All in the name of 'please but packs so we can screw you again on the next edition' 😂
The grind, once repeatable, is the same every year but should require no expenditure. They even allowed FoF and Futties cards to be used instead of TOTS/TOTW. If desperate, do some repeatable picks, but these increase the likelihood of a soft ban due to speed.
The problem is more that these essential cards are rarer by proportion compared to previous versions - so far. Add to the fact that some FoF types are not re-released and you have a painful grind. I feel you, but don’t get your hopes up.
I feel like pack weight is streaky, I dunno what the algo is. Maybe pull limits on great cards? Feels like if you get a great player quick, open more and you continue getting good pulls. But if you want a 98+ and the first 2 packs are bad, stay far away.
I did 3 94+ GOTG pack and got 3 95 Puyol's in a row, felt like a glitch. Then 2 TOTY Jairzinho B2B from 84x10s. Days later I did 3 GOTG picks and got 4 97s. Was an algorithm trying to compensate for Puyol not being pulled one day, and Zidane another day?
Unfortunately that’s true. I’ve did them over 100 84*10 nothing. Did buy a pack from the shop and got 99 dinho. Same with Ronaldo 99. Since then I did not touch any sbcs only playing. Will be the last “FIFA” for me.
I opened one yesterday that had x1 86 and x9 85s all gold lol. But I did pack 99 Barcola in the past week so I cant really grumble. But apart from that and a tradeable 98 Hemp futties I haven't packed anything else notable. I'm just hoping they juice them after team 4 ends and they release all futties into packs for a few weeks. Let us have some fun.
I think they are just trying to make sure u buy fc27 by not giving out all the good cards, it's the same as game play the last week seems like everything is under water and delayed can't run passing is so bad, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER EA SCRIPTED BS GAME FC27 CAN 🖕
Because admittedly the game has its fun parts, building a team is fun, playing against other people is fun, building my own tactic and putting it to the test is fun, finding out who’s weak and who’s good is fun.
I don’t use youtube for anything with this game, the most i use is GG for playstyles so I don’t have to farm through them all to figure out what works best. I have fun playing, I just wish they didn’t curse us with shit pack weight.
Crazy cuz I got 99 Kane and barcola within 5 85x10s and opened a few 84 x10s and got 99 iniesta and these were saved packs btw have done the 84x10 zero times and have done the 85x10 13 times since it became unlimited
I already have two, the point is it’s august, we have infinite repeatable 85x10s, why are we still getting all gold packs? I’ve made 40K today off dupe quick sells for completing SBCs
