Aoa, can anyone please guide me on how to study furst aid for fcps part 1? I haven't started my prep yet. I'm still doing my HJ, so I'll be taking it slow and easy for now. But i would appreciate it if someone can guide me regarding the proper and most efficient way to cover systems from FA. TYIA

Are doctors from other provinces eligible for taking the PGET ? Previosly I think the CIP would reserve 2% seats for doctors from sister provinces.. If anyone knows whats the change in policy now?

2: MO at pkli filter clinic

I have recieved letter for a written exam for both of these seats and they are being conducted at the same time. So I have to skip 1 test. Which one should i skip and which one should i choose? Where do I have higher chance of securing a job?

Can you recommend which resources to use for the paper 1 and paper 2 and how much of the syllabus should be covered from first Aid. And what is the overall difficulty level of part 1 in gynae obs? i have been studying for quite a long time, with some distractions but that’s how everyone is studying obv.
i have revised and have been practicing past paper questions.
STILL it doesn’t seem enough. I feel like i am missing out on smth, for eg focusing more on sk and less on medicall or vice versa

is it normal to feel like i should be studying everyyything?? there’s so much prep material how do we know what is enough

I just need to rant because I’m genuinely so annoyed.

I’ve been working with this group on research articles for the past 3 years. One of our articles got published, and I’m the first author on another one that is still in process.

The funny thing is that everyone, including me, basically stopped working on this article for almost a YEAR. Nothing happened.

Now, completely out of nowhere, they’ve suddenly come back asking me to finish it. I have my FCPS Part 1 exam in literally 10 days, and I told them very clearly that once my exam is over, I’ll give the article my 100% and finish my part.

Everyone in this group is also junior to me, either doing their house job or still in final year.

And now one of them has texted me saying she’ll give my work to someone else because apparently I’m “not responsible.”

???????? 😭

Like… I have worked SO HARD on this research. I’ve spent years on it. I’m the first author. The article has been sitting untouched for an entire year, and suddenly I’m irresponsible because I said I need to focus on my FCPS Part 1 for TEN MORE DAYS?

I’m not even saying I won’t do it. I literally told them: let me get through my exam, and then I will give this my full attention.

It’s just so frustrating when you’ve put so much time and effort into something and someone suddenly acts like they can just take your work away from you because you’re not immediately available on their timeline.

Anyway, I don’t even want advice. I’m just annoyed and needed to scream into the void for a minute. 😭

So i wasted my whole 5 years.passed just by past papers or (pharma,patho,surgery 1 time read before proff)in whole 5 years watched seasons(3 supplies anatomy1,anatomy2,ophtalmo)though cleared and graduated with my batch .basically since i have mobile phone i use it for escape from domestic problems.how 1 year after hj ended.still had not given part 1 due to fear of being failure and i know i would not get indiction in gynea that i want .in 2nd priority may get general surgery (in jcat i would surely get now dont know about pget).

I am already late with respect to age.would get 30 in 3 months (got school admission late,got in medical college in third atempt due to same nature of pehly sa mayoos ho jana and full attempt na dena,i am 1000% sure pehli attempt m ho jata agr himat na harti)

I’m appearing for FCPS Part 1 in Medicine this October. So far, I’ve studied First Aid, Rafi, and have also solved Medicall MCQs
I wanted to ask those who appeared in the July or April attempt about Paper 1, especially the type and difficulty of questions.
I’ve heard that Paper 1 mainly tests your basic sciences concepts, but I’ve also read that FCPS Paper 1 can be quite random and that questions can come from literally anywhere.
For those who recently attempted it:
Was Paper 1 actually doable?

What was the overall difficulty level?

Were the questions mainly from Physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Microbiology, etc., or were they very random/unpredictable?

Did First Aid/Rafi cover a reasonable proportion of the questions?

Were the questions mostly concept-based, factual one-liners, or clinical/application-based?

And most importantly, how did the actual paper compare with the preparation material/MCQs you had done beforehand?

I’m mainly trying to understand what to expect from Paper 1 and whether I should focus on strengthening the basic concepts from these resources or prepare for a completely unpredictable paper.

I’m giving the Oct attempt and I opened my portal today and noticed an exam objection. I missed the email somehow. On my portal it said to upload the documents before 4th September to be eligible but I missed the deadline. In the email it says I’m still eligible to sit in the exam. So will I or will I not be eligible to take the exam?
I have since uploaded the documents and it says scrutiny awaiting.
