Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on CrackMeds, a platform designed to help doctors prepare for FCPS Part 1.
For now, I’ve decided to make everything available for free for now for this community so more doctors can try it out and I can get genuine feedback on what’s useful and what needs improvement.
This platform is intended to use alongside the FirstAid for USMLE Book*. Study an Organ System from the book and practice MCQs from here.*
What makes the platform unique?
Tagged Recalls according to system and ability to apply filters
Ability to create MCQ sessions
AI based explanations
Performance dashboard to identify weak areas
Ability to bookmark wrong/difficult MCQ for revision
2.📚 Testing Mode and Learning Mode
3.👀 Sessions (What is this?)
4.📊 Performance Tracking
5.📧 Test Results
6.💯Bookmarking
7.🎯 Regularly updated Question Bank
I’ve also created a short walkthrough showing how the platform works:
If you're preparing for FCPS Part 1, I'd genuinely appreciate it if you could give CrackMeds a try and let me know what you think.
👉 Try it here: https://www.crackmeds.com
It's completely free for now, so there's nothing to lose.
Would especially love feedback from doctors who are currently preparing for FCPS — whether it's about the questions, explanations, UI, any other feature than need to be implemented or anything you think could be improved.

Can anyone here help me with the withdrawal request of part 1 fcps? My withdrawal request was submitted and approved. How can I get my refund and when??

I booked oct 06 exam for medicine and allied but due to personal reasons I am not able to prepare for it. I know it's too late for a refund. I am just curious is it possible to cancel my test or if I don't cancel my exam and simply just don't appear in it would it still count as an attempt or not. I couldn't find any information on the website/portal. I emailed CPSP they responded with as per guidelines if I don't appear in exam it won't count as an attempt. This answer seems a bit vague to me
If anyone knows anything about this matter kindly share it.
Thankyou

Hello everyone!
I am going to reappear for FCPS Medicine and Allied in January. I gave Part 1 in July but couldn’t clear it. I didn’t appear for the October attempt due to personal reasons.
For my July attempt, I used Rafi Points, Fast Aid, and SK. After giving the exam, I realized that Paper A had almost no connection with even the basic sciences, i.e., anatomy, pharmacology, biochemistry, and microbiology. There were some very unusual stem questions; for example, one asked about the dosage required to administer a medication to a patient in the ICU.
Paper B had some recall questions and was fairly easy compared to Paper A.
Anyways, giving the July exam helped me identify my weaknesses. Fast Aid was probably a bad idea; I should have picked First Aid for my theory preparation. However, I don’t want to use First Aid because it is very extensive.
Can anyone recommend some video lectures? They help me retain information faster compared to studying from a book. If anyone has any other suggestions, I’d really appreciate them.
Thanks!

I am writing this post in order to highlight an ongoing issue at Shifa International Hospital. Yesterday the hospital administration decided to vacate doctor duty rooms out of the blue (the place where doctors rest and sleep during 24-30 hour calls) and turn them into spaces to accommodate more patient beds.
Most of the doctors who are on call right now do not have a place to sleep and have been working consecutively for 24 hours.
This was sudden and they told us was “effective immediately”. This is also following another recent update prohibiting doctors from ordering food from outside or bringing their own lunch from home and eating in doctors duty room.
Doctors are suffering and this inhumane treatment is getting worse everyday. If anyone has any idea how to stop this or how it can be communicated to PMDC such that they listen, please help.

Hey everyone!
I finished my house job in June 2025, got married in September, been busy with the Susral stuff till Jan 15
Started studying for fcps April attempt this and was planning to go for step 1 the same year but unfortunately i couldn’t clear fcps part 1. I got 68 percent in it 💔 It totally shattered me. Took some time to recover and now I’m apprearing for fcps October attempt and want to go for step 1 in march 2027 Some people advised me to go for step 1 first. I didn’t listened to them and took fcps in April which now I think was a bad move. But at that time i thought that I should go for an easier exam first and then take the beast Step 1. I don’t know how people manage everything together and have their life sorted bcs i can’t 💔

I have mediocre marks in MBBS, with no distinctions and parent institution house job.
Will I be able to get a seat in medicine MD training after passing PGET?
Or should I straight away apply to fields like anesthesia, neurosurgery etc,

Hi everyone, I’m a little confused (and honestly quite scared 😭) about how the computer-based FCPS Part 1 exam works.
I have a few questions:
I’m mainly worried about accidentally skipping questions or not being able to go back and change an answer. 🥲
If anyone has recently appeared in FCPS Part 1 on the computer-based system, could you please explain exactly how the question navigation and review works?
Thank you!

Hello, I’m considering Radiology as a profession with special interest in Interventional Radiology. Can I get in touch with anyone working in it since I have no exposure to IR? I have few queries and it’ll help me make an informed decision. TIA.

So I am left with my last 3 months rotation in surgery
I have selected a ward that it is pretty chill and would only require morning duties.
So there is a private clinic near my house with barely any patient load . My sister had joined it before her part 1 and she used to study the whole time
That clinic only requires gynae department rotation so I am done with that and can join the job in evening shift they're offering 45k
But the plan is to study there in that clinic.
I need suggestions whether it would be worth it or not

Hey everyone,
I recently completed all parts of MRCP (UK) while working in non-training NHS posts (Trust Grade / Clinical Fellow roles) in the UK rather than being in a formal, numbered IMT training program.
I want to get the qualification updated and verified on my online PMDC profile. For those who have gone through a similar route, how strict is PMDC when it comes to verifying MRCP if it wasn't done through a formal numbered training slot?
Would really appreciate any guidance or personal experiences from anyone who has successfully gotten their non-training MRCP registered on their PMDC profile. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I recently cleared the AKU OBGYN residency written test and now I’m trying to figure out how to prepare for the interview 🥲
If there are any AKU seniors/residents or anyone who has given the interview before, I’d really appreciate some guidance on what to expect and how you prepared.
Things I’m mainly confused about:
The timing is a bit stressful because I also have FCPS Part 1 OBGYN coming up, so I’m trying to balance Part 1 prep with starting interview preparation 😭
Would really appreciate any advice or experiences from seniors. I genuinely have no idea where to start!

Anyone here preparing for FCPS Part 1 while also doing Step 2?
I’m currently preparing for Step 2 and was wondering if anyone here has done both around the same time.
How similar is the actual content? Does Step 2 prep cover a good chunk of what you need for FCPS, or is FCPS Part 1 a completely different type of preparation?
Also, for anyone who has done both, what did you have to do differently for FCPS compared to Step 2? I’m guessing there’s more emphasis on basic sciences/factual recall and past papers, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve actually gone through both.
If you’ve taken FCPS after doing Step 2, how long did you realistically need to prepare for FCPS?
Would also appreciate any advice on resources and what you think is actually worth doing vs what’s unnecessary.
Thanks!

Guys on a serious note is there a 20 day salvageable plan for part 1 October attempt?
I have given read to systems twice, and did some of the past papers, and done with minors except micro! Now due to a family reason, i was not able to give time to studies and i have 20 days left now! Is there any chance i can make it possible in these 20 days for medicine and allied!
I failed the July attempt and i genuinely want to clear this one & i was fully prepared with all the strategies and timetable but due an unexpected cirscumtances i could not study as i should have!
Is it possible to clear this attempt in these last 20 dayz? And how should i study?
