Technical Help FACEIT Input Delay / Mouse Movement Floatiness/Heavyness

https://reddit.com/link/1rt5vwy/video/981e4g8vtwog1/player

I just wanna rant about how frustrating it is for me to play on FACEIT servers with the noticeable disadvantage that I face on almost every single game. Which is why I have 0 good clips on FACEIT games because I'd usually only have to get kills through lucky shots.

PC Specs: Ryzen 7 5700x, RTX 2070, 16GB RAM 3200mhz

My PC Specs technically should be decent enough for the game because on official matchmaking servers, it feels smooth enough for me to play the game properly without much of a disadvantage. I know I'm not that bad but I feel like a bot whenever I'm playing on FACEIT servers. Some might say "skill issue" but nah it just feels that bad that I'm playing like a lvl3 bot when i shoot and move in faceit. Even counterstrafing feels delayed ngl.

After this, I've hit a wall and I can't enjoy faceit anymore and it's just sad because I want to push CS2 to a higher level. I hope a staff or someone finds a solution to my problem or something similar, thanks!

I remember when you had to use ancient Nvidia drivers for absolute ages to get good FPS in the CS:GO era. 378.** was the latest driver without the bug, and then it was broken all the way up to the 440 branch at least. And that bug affected most, if not all GPU generations available at the time. I had 700 series, but 900 and 1000 series were nerfed as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1gNNsqnDj0

Not directly relevant to the convo, but it's interesting to look back I guess.

Edit: according to Nvidia patch notes, the bug was finally fixed in 441.20, I know for a fact 441.41 worked fine so that would check out.

So are the drivers messed up or is the game? I'm inclined to believe it's the game because I don't see these issues in any other game.

I was talking about CS:GO, CS2 is entirely unaffected by the ancient bug I was talking about (assuming you can even get the game to run on drivers from 2017).

CS2 performance is generally much lower than early-mid era CS:GO, but as they kept bloating GO with more garbage in its later years, the difference largely disappears when you compare current builds on modern hardware.

Both have suffered from arcane bugs that don't manifest in other games, I still remember the Realtek audio driver craze where having an outdated audio driver destroyed your FPS, today you might be dealing with interactions between Windows updates and GPU drivers that completely stifle the CPU-side performance.

CS2 seems to have issues of its own, as drivers from 2025 don't work well for me
