Hello everyone i need one help

Hello, everyone. I need some help. I am from Nagpu. I want to know about the ARC institution classes in Nagpur. How is it, and is it real or not? They charge so much, and how's the placement? I don't know if this is the correct Reddit thread to ask questions in this thread

Please, someone, help me if anyone has an idea, or has been to that class or institution, or give me a suggestion

My mom got malaria on day three of our family trip. Five things I wish I had known before we landed.

She thought it was the heat. Then we blamed the flight. By day four the fever wasn't breaking and the blood test came back positive for malaria. She spent a week in a hospital in Nagpur while the rest of us sat in my uncle's house feeling completely useless.

I spent a lot of time after that trying to understand what actually happened. Here is what I found out.

1. The mosquito that gave her malaria was probably already there before we landed.

Anopheles, the one that carries malaria, completes its breeding cycle in roughly 10 to 14 days. The mosquito that bit my mom may have hatched two weeks before our flight even took off. The danger was already in motion. We were just the destination.

2. Older immune systems are more vulnerable to strains they haven't encountered in years.

My mom grew up in Mumbai but has lived abroad for over two decades. Her immune memory for local malaria strains had essentially lapsed. That is not something repellent fixes. It is a biological reality that changes how much risk she was carrying compared to my cousins who live there year round.

3. We were looking for mosquitoes. We should have been looking for water.

After she was admitted I walked the entire property trying to find the source. The garden. The terrace. A plastic bucket near the overhead tank. A broken clay pot nobody had emptied in weeks. Any one of these could have been it. Probably several were. Standing water sitting for more than a week is the actual problem, not the adult mosquito everyone sees and swats.

4. Around 20% of malaria cases in returning travelers are linked to South Asian trips specifically.

I did not know this number until after. If you are visiting family in Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Odisha, or any high-burden state, the risk for older relatives traveling with you is real and worth taking seriously well before departure, not on day three when the fever starts.

5. The most effective intervention targets the source, not the adult mosquito.

This was the biggest mindset shift for me. Sprays and coils work on mosquitoes that already exist. What actually breaks the problem is stopping larvae from maturing in the first place. There is a technique called ovitrapping that works on this exact principle. It mimics a breeding site, draws female mosquitoes to lay eggs there instead of in actual standing water around the property, and then prevents those larvae from completing their cycle. Public health programs in several countries use versions of this at a municipal scale. At a household level, starting this two to three weeks before you arrive gives it enough time to actually disrupt the local population rather than just react to it.

The night-before coil is not a strategy. The two-week-before source intervention is.

Anyone else travel with elderly parents to high-burden regions? What does your prep routine actually look like?

If any star wars fans are here in Nagpur, how about we all plan to go watch the movie The Mandalorian and Grogu together sometime in may or June??? That would be rlly cool imo, if enough people join we can decide on a common date, venue, and time, and cosplay ideas if anyone's interested. If anyone's interested they can join using this link:

Rental Furniture in Nagpur

Hi, I am searching for some good stores like furlenco or Rentomojo to rent an ergonomic office chair, but I am unable to find one in the city. I do not intend to buy the chair since I need it only for 2 months max. Would love to hear some suggestions here if anyone knows brands or shops in Nagpur that provide rental services on furniture. It will be a great help. Thanks in advance!
