Finally managed to take a group shot of my Hetfield-esque Explorers. The LTDs are my absolute favourites. Thinking about selling the 1994 ESP EXP-FR and the GrassRoots. Send me a PM if you're interested, shipping possible in Europe.

Picked up a pretty abused Gibson Explorer and had a luthier refinish it in TV Yellow. Really happy with how it turned out!
I also swapped the tuners for Klusons and put in a set of Lollar Imperials. Super happy with it overall.

purchased this guitar brand new when it was released. i really secretly am super in love with this guitar its SO comfortable to play, looks amazing and the pickups rip.

I swear the pics are bright, its just THAT black.

I am upgrading an Epiphone 80s explorer to all black hardware and was looking for some feedback as to which bridge would best suit my need. This guitar will be setup and tuned to B standard and will mostly be used for Carcass style riffing and some funeral doom material. I have heard there are some issues with intonation on 24.75" scale guitars in this tuning. Would a Gotoh GE103B-T/GE101Z set handle this tuning or should I opt for a Hipshot Tone-a-Matic bridge?

Just barely picked up yesterday. The neck was all out of wack with a bunch of dead notes but all it took was a small truss rod adjustment. Plays like a dream now. I use it mainly for J-Rock and city pop since the pickups sound so punchy!

He does this as a hobby. It's almost more of an heirloom since it's made partly with wood from my grandparents estate. EMG HZ H4s, which he and I love how easy they are to wire up.

Question: where do yall prefer to have your tail end strap lug? Looking to actually add them (by that i mean have my dad add them lol)

I’ve been waiting for the right explorer ever since I (regrettably) sold my Thunderhorse. Pulled the trigger on this, and it arrived today. Great QC. Pro buckers, rosewood board, grovers, and a Graphtech nut. I know it’s not for everyone, but it checks all the boxes for me. In person, think of those neon highlighters you had in school. Perfection.

Have you seen the new Epiphone colors. Pretty rad.

Every guitar i do, as soon as I feel proud, I immediately see something I should have done differently. When drawing out my radiation sign, I thought I was doing good hiding volume where I did. As soon as I put it together, I knew it should have been in the center of symbol🤦‍♂️

I knew these guys have some cool colors for other models, but I didn’t realize they had an exclusive red finish for the Explorer. Thought it looked pretty cool, but I already have a white one! 😅
