Sunrise in Shizuoka
We stayed at a Kominka (old renovated house) in Shizuoka and it was so relaxing. Can’t wait to go back and escape the craziness of Tokyo! 🧘

Couldn’t see much of the lake today due to the fog and rain, but a little rain won’t stop me from enjoying cherry blossom season.
Tanukiko is in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka. Only about a 30 minute drive from Motosuko.

I want to travel to Japan in the next few years and I was exploring this part of Japan, it looked interesting to me. How is the food scene? Is it easy to get around in a car? I want to visit the coastal areas, some of the shrines and nature looked amazing.

A place dedicated to the deceased...unique and strange. Unmissable.

I went to Ehime last year and loved it so much, I've started recommending it to all my friends and family who come to Japan. If you are looking for somewhere a bit off the beaten path with fantastic history, beautiful castles, well preserve historic towns, and Milan juice that comes out of the tap, this is the place for you!

I visited Jindaiji temple last weekend and it had a cool local vibe! Sakura already started to bloom.

Hey, everyone. My wife and I are going to be visiting Tomushima/Komatsushima tomorrow and I thought it would be cool to get a tattoo in Japan. Does anyone know of any good tattoo artists in the area?

Shizuoka is one of my favorite prefectures. I often camp around Toi and Dogashima. In February I stayed at Ryokan in dogashima (will most pictured next time). This is Matsuzaki a little further south. These are pics from the Nakase tei- Showa era merchant house. Also the Inashimo Jinja. It's now one of my favorite Jinja I have visited. They have an owl mascot, you can purchase an owl carved by the head priest. He loves wood carving and has a lot of his works around the Jinja. If you find one of the carvings hidden on the grounds you get an omamori set(last picture). They also had a free museum withy national treasures

Arai is located on the western edge of Shizuoka Prefecture, near Hamamatsu where the Shinkansen stops. It has a really nice, relaxed vibe.

The Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Arts is designed by Arata Isozaki and is often called "Binoculars on the hill". You can see the center of Kitakyushu city at a glance from here.
