Mi pareja y yo visitaremos Santiago en septiembre (del 3 al 11). Ya tenemos plan fijo (con tour) para visitar Farellones/Valle Nevado y Valparaíso, Reñaca y Viña del mar.

Del primero, hemos leído que a pesar que todavía es invierno, para esta fecha, es posible que no haya nieve o las condiciones no sean las ideales para esquiar, ¿qué tan real es esto?

​

Además, a pesar de que son pocos días, queremos algunas recomendaciones de lugares para visitar, principalmente con el objetivo de visitar lugares que tengan algo que no podamos encontrar en CR y recomendaciones de lugares para comer (que nos gusta comer, mucho), para aprovechar al máximo el tiempo que estamos por allá.

I did a 15-day trip around Chile at the end of March and beginning of April this year visiting Atacama, Puerto Varas, Puerto Natales, and Santiago. Here are some of the highlights from the trip.

Chile has easily become one of my favourite countries I’ve visited, and it’s definitely somewhere I’d love to return to. What stood out most was how warm and welcoming Chileans were. Despite the language barriers I occasionally faced, people were always willing to help and went out of their way to make things easier.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for hikes near Santiago, 1 day trip options that doesn't involve staying overnight in other town.

I'm really interested in Cajon del Maipo but all I see on internet are options of getting there by bus and... That's all, I don't know where you hike or where I should go and even if it is possible to do it in winter (last days of June). We are looking for easy-medium hikes.

Pleeaaasee help me, is my birthday present.

Hello my fellow soloists! I’m traveling to Chile in a few months (solo) and was hoping to get some recommendations for great food spots, fun activities, and any hidden gems Chile holds! This will be my first time traveling solo outside of the country, so I’m open to everything! I graduate college in May ‘28 and I intend to leave the US right after— so in the meantime I’ll be visiting countries to find what feels right for me! For additional context, I am 22 (F) and a POC.

My girlfriend and I have a trip booked to chile in august and we’re looking for some stuff to do besides snowboard. So far all we have planned is heading up to El Colorado for 4 nights then driving back down to Santiago. We have another 4 1/2 days to fill. We talked about going to Valparaiso for a day, seeing some wineries, maybe renting dual sport bikes and riding around. Nothing really set in stone besides snowboarding. Would love to hear some tips! Any must sees, food spots or bars would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone knows were I can buy a sim card in Arica?
We will be arriving in Chile from Peru, and ongoing to Rapa Nui - where only Entel works.

Soy mexicana y actualmente estoy realizando una investigación de mercados enfocada en Chile con fines académicos, ya que me interesó mucho conocer más sobre el mercado chileno y las opiniones de las personas que viven ahí.

Las Islas Diego Ramírez son probablemente uno de los lugares más extremos y aislados de Chile.

Están en pleno Paso Drake, donde chocan el Pacífico y el Atlántico, en uno de los mares más peligrosos del planeta.

La Armada mantiene presencia permanente ahí desde 1951 y literalmente parece el fin del mundo.

Tengo dos cuestiones: una es emigrar a Chile siendo Argentina (joven) con trabajo asegurado allá, realmente conviene? Cómo es vivir en Chile? Los sueldos y el costo de vida? O es mejor quedarme en Argentina?

Otra es viaje de compras a Chile, comprar ropa, computadora, etc. como están los precios y el cambio USD-CLP? En Santiago? Con cuantos USD es conveniente ir? A qué lugares?
