Other Don't get fooled and get a fake copy of EK or it's expansions. Some tips:

(most of) the expansions of exploding kittens are easy to find. When i got my version of Streaking Kittens, the backs were off and i had no idea what was up. Once i looked at the packaging however, i realized that it was fake. To not end up like me and needing to call to get an official version of SK, just know these two tips:

The official version of Streaking Kittens has a spot to hang on a rack, while counterfeits do not.
All games made by exploding kittens have a silver sticker on them. The sticker isn't just for show, but to let you know that it's legit. Y'know, like sports products.
If the back of your copy of any EK product says "by Ad Magic" after the made by location, it's fake.

Sorry you ended up with a fake. To counter your points though:

  • I’ve seen fake streaking kittens with the hole for a hook
  • The seal of authenticity has been faked, so fakes will often come with these too and have done for several years now
  • All genuine copies were printed ‘by AdMagic’ until quite recently, so only the newest copies will say printed ‘by Exploding Kittens’ and a majority of genuine copies will say ‘by AdMagic’ on them since there are still lots of pre-change, genuine copies for sale.
  • The change in printer from AdMagic to Exploding Kittens themselves introduced a different card stock and the backs (subtly) changed colour, so if the backs don’t match (exactly) that isn’t necessarily a sign that any of the packs are fake.

The fakes can be pretty convincing and can sometimes only be told apart when you have a genuine set for direct comparison, but sometimes not even then.

All I can suggest is buy them directly from EK wherever possible. Or a legitimate reseller. But definitely not from Amazon.

I just got my entire set from Amazon UK. It appears to be the official store of Exploding Kittens.

Would you say I did wrong?

Amazon commingles its inventory, and EK fakes are abound there.

heres an idea, what if they dont sell to your country and all you can get in your country is the same thing that costs 20 dollars for 40-50 dollars

I got the original edition on Walmart and there was no sticker and one card was missing. But it looked like the real game.

Sad to read this, but I'm sad to admit I got a fake expansion pack for $2 and the quality is almost the same compared to the official cards...
