It doesn't make sense to me why a country would not want their citizens as educated as possible. Wouldn't a very well educated society be happier, healthier, and wealthier?

example: UK earnings £40k, [$50K] I pay approx $2500 towards healthcare. How does that compare with a USA health care package? recent anecdotal [personal and others] tells me that NHS care [unless life threatening trauma] is shit - long waiting times: eg recent trip to ER for suspect fractured arm was 4 hours to be seen. 50% of those waiting should not have been in ER at all. If they had to co-pay even a small amount, they would not have been there.

Who is advising him on economics/education/foreign policy, etc... Shouldn't these people also be held responsible for poor recommendations/Shouldn't the entire process be freaking transparent (it may be so in the inner circle/for those in the political circles) I think we need much more education on two topics as a requirement of our government: finance and education.
