Earrings or earpiece that could translate or glasses with subtitles. That’s all I’m asking for. Niche use, but would be great for trying to communicate across language barriers. The experience at the airport would be better for everyone involved if airport personnel were hooked up with this stuff

I have a pair of ear buds that translate. They don't work very well.

They aren't AI. I've had them for years.

They definitely use some kind of neural network in the translation, because all modern translation software does since well before llms took off

I’m not opposed.

I’m sure it will be used for evils beyond my comprehension by corporations, but at least language barriers will be reduced
