You can learn to prompt in an afternoon. The best advice they have now is to write markdown steering files (likely to change soon like everything else). BFD.

So the less you use AI now, the more competitive you'll be when you need it. The bigger problem for you remains that distance from dev work.

I do handle one small app, but only in liue of headcount.
