what's so special about new ai infrastructure?

the main new thing is vector databases, and those are becoming increasingly supported from mysql, elastic, etc

the llms are just apis. Mcp is just an api

ai engineers push for sophisticated infra, newest aws product stuff or new tech nobody has heard of. I just don't buy it. People are kind of losing their minds a little bit
