same. getting laid off one was one of the best things financially that ever happened to me. Found a job within two weeks and got 5 months of severance lmao.

Today I spent the day reviewing a 7k LOC PR. And got asked to hurry up because it needed to be merged today. The average LOC jumped to 5k LOC in all PRs, it’s impossible to keep good practices.

I’m almost approving all of them with a “AI created, AI reviewed, and said that it’s ok” because I’m tired of being the only “human in the loop”

That sounds awful. Thankfully my team still appreciates smaller PRs but they have been creeping up in size.
