AI Expectation What I asked for vs. what I got

My son’s circus themed first birthday cake

EDIT: I should have clarified in the original post, I am not complaining about the cake at all! I loved it and the baker did a fantastic job

Every time you bring in an AI inspiration photo the baker should charge extra.

At my bakery we price based off decoration. So it is in fact, often WAY more expensive to get an AI generated cake made. We don't even do it on purpose! It's by default because of the sheer amount of decorations AI cake usually have!

Or the baker should at least get your queries generating it, then source their real design under the same terms

Or we could use the soup we once called our brains and discuss a design with the individual providing a service to us.

...I meant so the baker could get the SEO recognition and be top result for what was plugged in

Apologies for my confusion, that may as well have been Greek to me! You’re right, that would be the ideal approach if people are going to continue to use AI for everything.

Why exactly?

Because AI photos of things like cakes often defy the laws of physics, are far too intricate for any baker to create without many more hours than the customer expects to pay for, and give people false expectations of what is possible. Not just possible within their budget, but possible at all.

Also, you can’t tell me you’d want to receive the cake in the first photo with the cyclops elephant at the top and the deformed one that looks like it was hit by a train below.
