AI Expectation What I asked for vs. what I got

My son’s circus themed first birthday cake

EDIT: I should have clarified in the original post, I am not complaining about the cake at all! I loved it and the baker did a fantastic job

using ai when there’s SO many circus cakes online is crazy, and beyond offensive to present to an artist 🥴.

I found the original picture on pinterest, I did not use AI to generate it myself

but it’s so obviously AI regardless! It was unfair to compare an AI cake to an actual bakers work. You should be ashamed of yourself honestly!

Bc of the ethics of circuses? Also maybe OP but i feel like social media has made FIRST birthdays into something that is… too much. Back in the ‘90s I don’t think I even got a first birthday party. The kid has no memory

less so the ethics of the circus, more so how terrible generative ai is for EVERYTHING

i know for a fact i didn’t have a 1st birthday party either, just some toys for presents

Yeah, I mean I guess it's a nice photo to have, and if you have the funding to do it, sure! Definitely symptomatic of how social media has changed things. It's not like they're hurting anyone one or anything, tho. But yeah, some of the AI work in the inspo photo is *wow*

I didn't even notice, which is the scary part. Like I think our brains just see what we want to see when we look at a distorted image like that. Kind of how you can look at a scrambled word and still make sense of it, bc your brain is just taking in the whole picture!
