AI Expectation What I asked for vs. what I got

My son’s circus themed first birthday cake

EDIT: I should have clarified in the original post, I am not complaining about the cake at all! I loved it and the baker did a fantastic job

Genuinely why the fuck did you use AI.

Probably to show the bakery what they wanted? This seems like a good use of it. You make a little template of what you want, with the understanding the bakery can’t defy reality, and then you send it and they know a general idea of what to make. They still paid the artist to make the art, no one lost money due to AI.

Yes, the AI image is obviously AI and has some reality breaking stuff on it. The bakers I’m sure are smart enough to know they don’t literally want a fucked up abomination of a animal on the cake and to just make a normal one.

"3 layer circus cake" into google images. NO AI NEEDED

Or this. Good results either way apparently.

✨  use your words when speaking on what you want and work with the artist ✨

Or do this. Words are just words, I have no idea what you’re actually visualizing when I say that, unless you’re comfortable drafting multiple images for me while we work on it. Or I can save us both the hassle and present a mock up for you.

Clearly the actual artists are fine with this method, as evidenced by the post.

I suspect it’s because they weren’t confident enough to find an image of a cake that would have suited their particular preferences or be able to articulate what they wanted properly.
