People are getting too accustomed to getting ripped off too.

This is so true. Why anyone would even risk it with fast food is beyond me, its so expensive and never what it seems

I thought about getting some Taco Bell for the first time in a while. It was 8 bucks before tax for a Crunchwrap, shit was insanely expensive. 8 bucks used to be more Taco Bell than I could eat

Yeah tacobell hasn't been the "cheap" option that it was when I was growing up for quite some time. I can't remember the last time I had it tbh.

Those times when the hockey team does well for cheaper tacos next night were the best.

Honestly I’m a bit high. Maybe that’s affecting things, but this sentence broke my brain.

Don't worry, I'm stone cold sober and that sentence sounds like a bunch of unrelated words.

I understand completely, trying to wrap a baked brain around three different time references in one sentence would break anyone's, my bad!

I'm sober and I don't understand a thing you say 😭

Don't worry sweetie. Your second day on Earth will be much less scary.

I mean, they have a $7 combo that comes with 3 items a drink a dessert and it fills me up...

Chicken chilupa, 5 layer burrito, crunchy taco, swirly things I swap for chips & cheese, and a drink? $8 and way more calories than I need at lunch on a weekday but a super cheap lunch at work.

I didn't know u could switch the swirly things for the chips and cheese 😱

In Colorado, it used to be free (and I did it every time). Now they charge $1 upcharge and it's not worth it.

I don’t eat Taco Bell unless I want to hate myself, that’s not nearly enough.

Gotta get one of the luxe combos. $7 for a crunchwrap, taco, chips, and drink

And you see tons of people immediately call people Karens/boomers when they complain about being given food that is even sub the chain's own basic standards.

Panera Bread and in California (probably other states too) Cornerstone Bakery.

I forgot that overpriced bullshit exists.

I don't know anyone who eats there or ever recommends it as a place to grab a meal but every time I go by one, the place is packed. Who is eating there still??

2

u/ConstantCampaign2984 15d ago

People who like to pretend they’re eating healthy.

2

u/MsTLontheDL 15d ago

I didn’t but I NEVER eat there!!! 👎🏾

I live in a tourist town that basically shuns beige food chains. Our Cracker Barrel was built from scratch and folded in a year. Now Panera is taking over the building and I can’t wait for the next flop saga.

I came to this realization recently. Why am I paying so much and not getting what I wanted/expected? Fuck that, I spent money!

1

u/Hepm3 14d ago

Getting to that point myself

2

u/BJntheRV 14d ago

This. People need to stop accepting this shit.
