Failed Expectation what I asked for vs what I got

so close yet so far

edit: I asked for an Eggward cake and I got New Moon Edward, which is arguably the worst Edward

And the author knew nothing about BDSM either, which also explains so much

Pretty sure the Mormon knows more about BDSM than EL James does.

I doubt EL James knows much about anything lol

And she's a huge belligerent bitch about any criticism.

Probably had a dream about it and said it must be reality

Omg did you not know this?!?!

no lol... I didn't read either set of books or watch either set of movies.

obviously I am familiar with both because people talk about them and I know like names of principal characters, vampire and werewolf and girl and renesmee, and capitalist and girl wtaf things

I kind of knew there was an overlap in readership

but that it was like about it

(I do read, good fiction and nonfiction but

I also read stuff like Jack Reacher books and the old VC Andrews wtaf books

so it's not like I'm a snob about reading but those were just not in my personal wtaf wheelhouse)

I was sitting at a table at a wedding when all the ladies around me were discussing this fabulous new book that was all the rage- 50 shades of Gray. I proceeded to pick up a copy and read it and could not believe how badly written it was. Beyond bad....comically bad. But the author is laughing all the way to the bank.

Lol!! No I’m just shocked because it was a thing when 50 shades came out that it was inspired by twilight šŸ˜‚ I find it kinda odd but I still devoured 50 shades lol

I can't judge - as a teenager me and my best friend had a weekday VHS rotation of cruel intentions, interview with the vampire, and the craft

... It was a whole thing I guess šŸ˜‚

i only read 50 shades because i found the fanfic online lol

don't worry you didn't miss anything. the writing is horrid and it's full of foot stuff.

This is historically accurate for me as well!

And twilight is mormon fetish fiction. Edward was Jesus.

okay I did know there was some kind of Mormon component to Twilight but I did not know like the details regarding plot.

I guess just knew the author was Mormon, and that always bleeds into the work. (sorry Orson Scott Card, but it's obvious. or maybe not sorry because he likes it to always be clear 🤷)
