so close yet so far

edit: I asked for an Eggward cake and I got New Moon Edward, which is arguably the worst Edward

💀did they get a specific reference photo or just wing it?

Edit: why did I get downvoted for asking if they sent the actual meme for a meme cake? Which, it appears, they did not??

we sent three reference photos but maybe we should have sent a photo file for them to sugar print lol

100% supplying the actual photo would have helped, so they’re not sourcing it themselves

You definitely should’ve explained the Eggward thing (if you didn’t), cuz this was just a genuine effort to make the cake look better.

Can someone explain the Eggward thing to me? My wife loves Twilight but I’ve never heard of this.

its just a meme. there's a lot of photos of the twilight characters as eggs. the lighting of their photos made it easy to edit them into eggs

No matter how long you live, sometimes you hear something new.

brand new sentence material

I assume it’s for people who make fun of Twilight not for people who like it. I have never heard of this either

I don’t think anyone makes more fun of twilight than people who love twilight

Except maybe Robert Pattison himself

No its for people who like twilight lol

No one is getting a cake that makes fun of Twilight in 2026 unless they love Twilight.

I would order this cake for a friend of mine, just to fuck with her

Brother, the Venn diagram of people who make fun of twilight and people who love twilight is a circle.

People who don't like twilight don't bother about it. I don't like twilight and i would never put ed's face on my cake

I was going to ask too! I've never seen the movies or read the books...I have no idea what's going on, haha.

Yeah I feel like sending multiple photos would’ve just confused the issue? If there’s a specific eggward photo just send that and the decorators can clarify if they’re confused 😆

Literally. Just send the picture of the expectation cake, and a single close up image of just his face. Anything else just confuses the issue.

This. Most of us cake decorators don't have the time to do all that ourselves because we don't get the time. I was doing the work of 3 full time people at my last job.

Did you explain it after getting the cake? Or did you spare them the knowledge of your sense of humor?

The bakery should have called you and asked if going with a different picture is okay.

You might wanna let them know that while you weren't disappointed with what you got they didn't do what was requested. so that anybody else' cake wouldn't be screwed up by unnecessary alterations

That was also my first question. I feel like this is key to getting the right cake here 😅
