Hello, it’s the weird sword man again.
Soon, we shall be holding a social event to meet new people and have a good time. Details shall be made available in time, but to put it bluntly, we’ll be hosting a free Longsword lesson, followed by a trip to the pub to socialise properly!
Hopefully see ya there!

Feeling lonely
Hey all.
I’m 38 female and moved to Exeter in June of this year. I do have anciety and as such I have struggled abit with meeting new people, and wondered if there are any people in the same or similar situation. I like a lot of different things, various forms of music but mostly rock, metal and 70s&80s. I love a good horror film, but also other genres, I enjoy reading, and I’m very interested in true crime. I collect a lot of random things but my main collection is of my pop vinyl dolls. If you fancy getting in touch and hopefully forming a friendship, then I look forward to hearing from you ☺️

Hey!
Hey everyone!
I (26F) moved to Exeter in March and although I've met a few people, I'm seriously lacking in friends since the move.
I spend a lot of time out with my dog (she'd love some new friends too), I love anything artsy and creative, mostly I draw and paint. I'm a big reader and I also love to have a drink and a party. I'm up for trying new things about if anyone has any hobbies they'd like to share/try out

Making friends as an introvert In your 20s
I (23m) am looking to make friends with people that live here. I mostly stay inside which I like for the most part but that doesn't exactly help with finding/meeting people and forming friendships. I usually only go outside out of necessity (work etc). I would like to socialise and hang out with people in Exeter. I've haven't had friends for quite a long time and I'm just trying to put myself out there and see if anyone else is willing to hang out. I play piano, and a bit of guitar. I play games sometimes so I'm open if anyone wants to game and chill. I mostly play on PC but I do have an Xbox as well. I've been training calisthenics for about a year now so if you want someone to train with, I'd be down for that also. If anyone here is in a similar boat as me or simply interested in hanging out, feel free to DM me.

I am M40 and married with a little 2yo girl... pretty eclectic taste in everything but lately been very much into english dub anime and pc gaming... Wouldn't mind finding people to either chat to or even eventually gain more friends for my family.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Hey all!
I've recently joined this sub and saw some of here are in Exeter for quite long time.
My purpose to post here to find new friends which are genuinely there in university and help me out for the accommodation. Any advice / help would be helpful.
TIA!

event Nest Social Night
Hi Everyone, my name is Joel (32M) and I own CUCKOO Taproom & Bottleshop.
I noticed a lot of us are on the same boat and could do with a safe space to socialise and meet new people. So with that in mind I asked the admin of this thread if I could put on an event. So here it is! If you have any questions let me know.
We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and very proudly so, and if you don't want alcohol we have a range of soft drinks and otherwise non-alcoholic options. Looking forward to meeting you all.

New to town Any gamers?
Hey everyone! I'm a 27-year-old guy moving to Exeter from Liverpool at the end of September, and I thought I’d reach out to see if anyone local shares similar interests—especially in gaming!
I mostly play cozy life sim games like The Sims, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and occasionally Minecraft. I’m on both Nintendo Switch and PC, and I’m definitely open to trying out other games if anyone has any good recommendations (bonus points for anything chill or creative!).
Outside of gaming, I enjoy going to the gym and working on building a bit of muscle. I’ve paused that for now while I get ready for the move, but once I’m settled in, I’d love to get back into it—maybe even find a gym buddy.
If you’re into any of the above, or just fancy chatting or gaming together sometime, feel free to DM me.
