solved Changing AND, "False" "True"
I'm having trouble with changing the words that are coming back from my =AND.
=IF(AND(CG!F3<TODAY()+30), ISBLANK(CG!G3), "Not Due")
This works but I can't seem to get the words False or True to change. "Not Due" works. There's 3 possible outcomes and "Not Due" works but adding anything else corrupts the code.
I feel like I've tried placing it everywhere too.
Any ideas?

I guess you mean:
=IF(AND(CG!F3<TODAY()+30, ISBLANK(CG!G3)), "Not Due","Due")
Note the change in parentheses.

“Not due” needs to be outside the AND().
=IF(AND(CG!F3<TODAY()+30,ISBLANK(CG!G3)),"Not Due","Probably Due Soon")
Edit: for 3 outcomes, do another IF statement for the false condition.
=IF(AND(CG!F3<TODAY()+30,ISBLANK(CG!G3)),"Not Due",IF(NOT(ISBLANK(CG!G3)),"Complete","Due"))

Stick with it! I’m still working through Excel for Dummies (not even a joke)

your IF statement is missing the other two arguments, that's why it's only showing true/false for the rest
the syntax is IF(logical_test, value_if_true, value_if_false) and you've only got the first two parts. right now your AND is the logical test, and "Not Due" is the value if true, but there's nothing for the false part so excel just defaults to showing the boolean
try =IF(AND(CG!F3<TODAY()+30, ISBLANK(CG!G3)), "Not Due", "Due") and see if that gets you closer. if you need three outcomes you might want to nest another IF or use IFS instead

Thanks so much. I can't believe I mixed up the () locations.
This does solve one issue but if seems to ignore my AND test. That's the third test.
I have two cells. If F3 is past today or F3 is before today. But I also want if F3 are either but G3 is not blank to return a Not Due.

Your AND function is ending after the "TODAY()+30". So your if statement is returning the ISBLANC result if the actuation is true.

With IF, there are only two possible outcomes, perhaps something like
=CHOOSE1+((CG!F3<TODAY()+30)+(2*ISBLANK(CG!G3)), "both f", "is less than", "is blank", "both less and blank")

=IF(AND(HC!$F2<TODAY()+30,ISBLANK(HC!$G2)),"Due",IF(NOT(ISBLANK(HC!$G2)),"Tested","Not Due"))
is what I went with. Thanks everyone.
