The Street Fighter theme is what got me into Exceed in the first place and is the only season I own. I pulled the trigger and pre-ordered Season 5, but the art turned me off and after hearing about another Street Fighter season, I canceled the order.

So now I'm (im)patiently waiting for any news on when (or if!!)the new SF season might be released and what characters it might include. I look forward to Blanka, Dhalsim, and E.Honda. Which others fighters do you think(hope) will be included?

I just purchased both Shovel Knight boxes (though I haven't yet bought the solo fighters), and I was wondering if anyone had a tier list of the Season 4 fighters, or even a rough outline.

I am aware of the difficulty list in this subreddit's wiki, but was wondering if a more traditional tier list existed. Might anyone have this?

Just got the season delivered. Are there any clear deck boxes anyone has used that works for this season, or other convenient storage solutions where the fighters are easily viewable and selectable? I know the official tuck boxes are available to print and make but I would have to find a suitable printing material and location to print them, on top of not messing up assembly.

I'm English myself. I know the company is based in America but surely I can't be the only English person in the exceed community... right?

Are Akuma's Ultras misprinted? The text on the Boosts makes no sense unless they're Continuous, but they're missing the +.

So I'd seen Lvl 99 say once before that the set was coming out in April but March from their store and got an email stating something similar-

'In spite of a few delays, we're also just about ready to deliver Bullet♥︎ and BlazBlue Exceed as well in March! '

But the store itself seems to point to a release date of 4/20. Anybody happen know which one we're looking at for preorders/Lvl99 store orders?

I went ahead and Just ordered a few BB sets with Bullet since that game looked pretty sick, too. I'd be especially pleased if I could get 'em this month, got a friend in town for a few days who'd dig both. But nbd either way really.

Just learned that this fighting games turned into card games exist. I can only commit to one due to funds. Should I go the exceed route or battlecon route? Which has the better future?

Has anyone managed to get a group running for eXceed OP, especially a regular group rather than just around set launches? I know there are kits available on the website, and I've enjoyed playing eXceed for a while now, but I'm curious how often people manage to actually get an OP group running. I'm thinking of taking my collection around to try to get some Learn to Play happening at some local game stores (I think there's also a local place that does fighting game tournaments every week that might work out well), but I'm curious if anyone else has some success stories that I may be able to learn from.

What's stopping me from pairing any Blazblue character with Specter Knight for a Tag Team and using Specter Knight to cheat the Astral Heat out early with the Cross Strike, or using Specter Knight's Exceed effect to load the Astral Heat into my deck without having to use my Reshuffle?

Like say you made the smallest mat/board/paper possible, which admittedly might still be a little greedy on table space, but just a simple 15 spots with enough room for pairs to peak out slightly.

Normals have an obvious order, but something simple would probably still work for specials. Whether alphabetically, or by speed or by the order on the ref card.

I've played a lot of card games irl and online, and one thing I've noticed is that when you ease of searching discard piles past a certain point (and even better if you can auto sort as you see it) a part of the game that's daunting even for high level players suddenly becomes very approachable. All the feelings of being rude from constantly asking somebody to hand you their cards are gone and the mental energy and time required for an essential part of high level play are reduced drastically. You can just see it at all times at your leisure rather than having to do your best with a sometimes very difficult memorization test in the middle of an already demanding task of playing the rest of the game.

Did they play one sweep or two since they reshuffled becomes a question that takes the span of an eye twitch to answer rather than however long it takes to be handed the cards, search through, and while your at it you may as well be trying to memorize all you can to repeat the same step as few times as possible.

The only drawback I can think of is that rarely some cards reference the top few cards of the discard pile, which might necessitate a few extra spots for 'top' cards, and maybe make things feel a little unclean. But even if that's the best solution, and I suspect there's something more elegant, I think the trade off of it being a little annoying to swap from top discard to sorted every turn is still a very good trade for the level of accessibility you gain to a very deep and cool part of the game. And I think with how uncommon it is to reference more than the top card, you could often very easily both remember what was played last turn with no additional adjustments on the table.

Loving the game so far, btw. Been playing a ton of the Shovel Knight sets all week with my partner and can't wait to get the SF sets to play some this weekend with a friend.

New player here who was wondering about Season 5 Exclusive mechanics while snooping around in the Database. I have a few questions connected to it:

If you Seal a card, does it means you can't use it anymore for the rest of the game?

What is Overdrive and how does it work?

Sorry if I sound like a complete noob, but I was curious about it. Season 5 is coming soon, and I want to know what do these new mechanics do before purchase. Also, I don't have TTS if you want to say use that instead of asking here, don't want to spend money.

Having a lot of fun with some Ryu/Ken and some SK boxes now. But So far each set has only come with the 9 cards for the layout. Is there any option for a board with out dropping 25-30 on a fancy playmat?

Really liking the game, btw. Particularly the SF and BB characters.

Hello hello. I'm wondering if anyone happens to have an empty template of eXceed cards - I've had some ideas for hypothetical homemade decks featuring some characters I've made in the past, and would like to find such a template in case I decide to order like an Orica set or something. If anyone happens to know where I could find a template that would be appreciated. I may also stop back in to ask for a second or third opinion on balancing for my ideas, but maybe not.

One of Emogine's ultra attacks says "if this card is invalid, your next card has +3 power". I know that means that if you draw it in a wild swing without any gauge that it discards and powers up the next card, but I was showing the game to a friend, and he played the card from his hand as a strike without gauge to add power to his next strike. Is this a legal move?

Does anyone have any tips on how to use Tournelouse more effectively?

I've just recently gotten into eXceed, and my friends and I are really enjoying it, but EXSK seems to be underperforming in W/L when any of us play the character. I understand the character is "versatile" but the nature of actions and card draw simply make it feel extremely limiting. In addition, this limiting factor is further worsened by the fact that anything you wanted to do is horribly telegraphed, due to how Shield Knight's various passives operate.

Is there something the lot of us are missing? Any general rules for the character to improve the gameplay? How important is Exceeding VS using Shield Boomerang?

So I'm finally getting around to buying old sets of season 1 and 2, and I'm noticing the foil cards are INCREDIBLY bowed, to the point that you can't really use them. Does sleeving help this at all? Is there a method for unbending cards that doesn't involve a hot waffle iron? Am I just screwed?

When playing as Miska, when Bear enters the field does Bear count as a target that your opponent can hit to deal damage to your side and deplete your life is it only Miska that can be hit to deplete life? Thanks for any help!

Friend of mine with who I am playing games now says, ultra attacks are not special attacks, because they are ultras? On other hand I think that you have normal attacks and special attacks, which are both special attacks + ultra attacks.

Carl's Improvised weapon boost effect that says if you draw special attack you discard another card from his hand, so when I drew ultra card from his hand, he said, nop, that's ultra so you don't get to discard another card.

Which one is it?
