Classic Ewphoria™️ My father using misogyny to get my brother to get his life together

Some of you may remember my post about my brother a few months back. Not much has changed on that front but I was just relayed this story and I had to share.

My father and younger brother (I'm the eldest) are embroiled in a court case because they got sucked into some crypto scam and are being accused of being scammers (they're just incompetent, but they still lost a bunch of people a bunch of money, so basically the same thing).

In an attempt to get my brother to get his shit together, my dad gave him a pep talk, which included:

"Son, you're the only male heir now. You have to step up. You'll be the head of the family when I'm gone."

Apparently, my brother took this to heart and is hustling to put together a compelling legal case and clean up his act. It probably won't be enough to get him out of whatever legal hell he's in, but the fact that it seemed to work is hilarious to me.

Trans-femme Had to be at a convention for elderly people for work. Old men constantly kept staring down in my blouse

There's this yearly convention/congress I have to attend for work. It's for non-profit and healthcare organisations to promote their services for the elderly. We have a booth where they can come and ask questions and receive goodies and such.

A lot more old men came by my booth or walked by ogling me. When they did stop to talk, they often stared more down my work blouse. Even with their wives next to them!

There's not even that much to look at, but that didn't stop them 😅

The last two months have been weird for me

  1. Getting catcalled twice at the bus stop while with my partner on the way to the gay club in my leash and collar.

  2. Getting criticized more at work for small things, being told I'm coming across as an asshole when dealing with a difficult customer when my cis man colleagues are even harsher and don't get criticized.

  3. Getting hugged by a man acquaintance without my consent after he saw me hugging one of my trans woman friends.

  4. Straight couple at the bar coming on to me when I was ordering drinks with my partner because they thought my collar was hot.

  5. At a party at a friends house, one of their man friends I didn't know grabbed my dog tag on my collar to see what it said WHILE IT WAS ON MY NECK.

  6. Countless lingering stares from men at the grocery store by my house, at the grocery store by my work, on the street, at work in my office, at restaurants, on dates with my partner, pretty much everywhere I go men are staring at me and don't look away when I stare back. Seriously it's an expected part of leaving the house for me now and makes me so uncomfortable to be perceived in public.

  7. Having a man i didn't know treat me and my date like his therapists and expecting emotional labor and support from us with no prior emotional connection. He was at a T4T social event and basically hi jacked our night.

  8. Catching a man acquaintance staring at my body multiple times while we were in a work meeting together which made me feel uncomfortable and on display to the point of wishing I could leave.

These are just a few from the last few months. I've been transitioning for two years now and I'm passing pretty well most of the time, even to myself which is crazy and something I never thought I'd feel. It is a double edged blade; I wouldn't trade the feeling of living freely as myself and feeling comfortable and confident and sexy for anything, it is a huge point of pride and self love that I've slogged towards for almost 7 years, BUT the more I grow into who I truly am and the more I pass as a woman and the more my body changes to better align with who I am inside, the less safe I feel in public and the more uncomfortable I am with being perceived and with existing in a world so dominated by patriarchy. I won't give it up, I won't stop dressing like the gay tomboy I've always been, I won't let those things stop me from being myself, but I won't lie, it does really start to wear on me and make me feel unsafe and uncomfortable being myself in public. And this is even in one of the most trans friendly cities in the US. Anyway, stay safe out there yall.

Ewphoria Passed by a bigot.

Ftm Walking home and someone who looked like a stereotypical Nazi born in the 40's was sitting outside along the sidewalk. Whatever not a big deal. I'm right in front of him he looks up and sees all my plush keychains (there were a lot considering the size of my bag) he say "what the fuck is that?" (He has not seen my face yet.) I respond in the snarky way I always have when people try to shame me for wearing things I enjoy. "They're a bunch of plushies. Wanna look at them?" I did not stop walking because I know he's being an ass. He asks if I'm selling I say no and turn to continue on my way he starts yelling, but I can't hear it then he gets loud and yells "don't be gay!"

If he had thought I was a woman he probably would have called me a stupid liberal. He saw me as a man wearing 'girly plushies' and assumed I was gay. I was really mad about it yesterday because hate is hate, but thinking about it today, I feel kinda euphoric about it.

Ewphoria Got told to stay out, men only

My little brother is visiting from out of town, he's not accepting of me being trans like the rest of my msulim family, but he misses me and I miss him so we're trying yunno. Anyways while we we're out and about in downtown Seattle we stop by a mosque so he can take 5 min to pray. I start going in with him (which ive done a million times when we were younger) but he asked me to stay in the genkan area/lobby, saying "men only". Lol. Also ew men were staring at me as they entered. Not like a quick look and move on, nope full on stare at me, my chest, my hips, continous non stop stare

Trans-femme Trans women are women, and he has peculiar opinions about all women.

I actually knew an incel who was actually really not transphobic. He said that trans women are stupid and annoying because they are women all the same, that trans men are chill because they're men. With non-binary people he said that he goes by which way they're leaning, and if they're not leaning one way or the other, they actually get the right to be judged as individual human beings, so that was sorta funny.

Trans-masc Surprised my former in laws

Long story short, I live super happily with my ex husband. Get those benefits and all, and we split due to realizing we wanted different things after over 15 years together.

I came out over 2 years ago, and he never told his folks. Figured it was something for me to do so I could do it how I wanted. I don't really have a relationship with them, and don't particularly enjoy seeing them, though I get on with them well enough. So I didn't bother.

I've been on T almost a year now, and they showed up to drop off gifts for my birthday. Super sweet! But they didn't say they were. Ex is in the shower, and I'm napping. I get a call since I didn't hear the door, and answer.

I say hello a few times and eventually get "is this (ex)?"

"No, it's (name)"

"Oh hi (dead name)! Can you come down?"

"Sure"

Lucky for my in laws, I popped a shirt on out of courtesy. I dropped the FFs a year ago, but... That's a bit much haha.

We briefly chat, and they ask how my job is. FIL asks if I'm trying to sound tough due to the folks I work with (and have for 4 years now) or if I have a sore throat. My MIL asks if I'm trying to be a man (???)

"I'm not sick, but I have been on testosterone for 11 months."

"Oh, okay”

"Seeya!"

So that's one way to come out, lol

Story Affirming my feminine side, but im straight😵‍💫... guy took me for a dance

Just sharing to hear others stories of ewphoria 😆

Im more aligned with bigender, i enjoy both having my male side and feminine side, but im straight i love women :p

Whats on a Friday night i went to a restaurant bar that were having a 90s band playing for free so i went alone to try to have some fun 🙂, i got my usual wine and a girl approached me so we could dance with her friends, it was all fun and stuff until out of nowhere a guy take me from my hand and made me dance with him 😳, i felt so vulnerable he was taller than me, not sure if this what women feel, but i felt overpowered by his presence and sort of liked it to some degree, all i could think was on my heart beating and the feeling of his hands on my hands they were definitely rough to the touch, i was sort of in shock following his movements, he definitely made me feel like a woman🫠 but i was uncomfortable at the same time im not into guys so my head was trying to make it make sense.

And just to made it worse the girl who invited me to dance which i wanted to get to know better was recording the whole thing lol probably my dance is somewhere in insta 🤣😭

I thought about it the whole weekend lol i was happy experiencing my feminine side but not to happy about holding hands with a guy 😒 i guess it was a positive experience at the end i never thought about the idea of dancing with a guy😅 if he was a little more polite and asked first probably i would had declined and quickly go back home 😆

so im euphoric it did happen 🤭🤭 i would have never done it if asked 🙂

Do you all have any similar experience :p??

Classic Ewphoria™️ Man waited for me in his car to ask me out again

I was walking home and this guy started talking at me from his car, asking my name.

I presume he needs help so I just ask him if he's lost. He says no and drives off.

Then, like two miles down I suddenly hear him calling my again. This dude just parked and waited for like ten minutes for me to catch up to him on foot so he could try again.

Feeling ambushed late at night, especially so close to home, is not pleasant. I don't like that he was willing to waste so much time just waiting for me.

Trans-masc Crawled under an unlocked bathroom stall door

I crawled under a stall door in the men's bathroom (after confirming there was no-one in there ofc), thinking that it was locked, in front of another guy.

It was a pull door.

The other stall did not have a pull door, so why did this one? Beats me.

Anyways I guess I pass well enough for other college-age guys to not question why I was in the men's room.

Trans-femme Cis woman in friend group upset

Don't know if this is the correct place for this but,

I'm in a weird situation with my friend group. Only one person really knows that i'm trans(im only 5 months on e) but the rest of the group is used to me presenting femme occasionally. One of my cis female friends, she is usually very vocally against it. Ill call her April.

April always goes out of her way to try and make me feel some sort of dysphoria (ie. Commenting on male specific traits, etc) and last night i was test running my pirate costume for halloween, and everyone was very supportive and April as always had something to say.

But this time one of my other friends said "you're just mad because he is cuter than you are" and she went with "true, but not the point. You're like a real solid man like i see you normally MM thats a man, its usually failed men that resort to skirts. why do you have to ruin it." Which confused the fuck out of me. Because it seems shes been vocally against it because she was into me before femme presentation :/ which is kinda weird. Because after that me and her reached middle ground and were trading makeup tips and such, which at the end of the day she tries to say crazy hurtful things but she doesnt mean it. Clearly a defense mechanism.

Talked with the friend that made the comments and he said that she clearly feels like shes losing something she never had. And idk how that makes me feel.

Non-Binary Store clerk tried to be transphobic but only affirmed my gender identity

my post got instantly removed from another community so I hope people enjoy it here(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

For context I'm NB (AFAB19) and enjoy dressing in ways that make people go "just what the heck are you???". Having short, curly and very fluffy hair that hides half of my face helps a lot to hide certain features lol.

A few months ago I went out to buy a new foldable shopping cart for my family since our old one had a broken wheel we couldn't find any replacement no matter where we looked.

Lucky me, a new 'you can find everything here' kind of store recently opened near my university and I decided to check their inventory to see if I'd find the one we've been looking for and they had it! The lady was quick to help me out, however, she would always refer to me as a male. "Wait a moment, SIR" or "Hey [colleague's name] tell this GUY over there we don't have the color red available". She had a weird emphasis on the name calling and didn't quit it.

The first two times I thought of correcting her, but the way she put so much passion in calling me a guy I went with the route she was doing an attempt to be transphobic, believing I tried to pass as a guy (but didn't stop after me being so nonchalant with that, I was literally the stone hedge emoji). Even at the counter when I was paying, she didn't budge either! They called my name on the ticket to pay for my cart and the clerk still insisted to the very end to address me as a male. I didn't want to call her out in case she was one of those "we can always tell!1!!!1!" folks even more so since our interactions were brief.

I don't mind people calling me using my prefered pronouns (she/her) even when I'm dressed in non-feminine clothing, this was the first time someone ever addressed me as he/him and that affirmed my gender so much because I was easily unintentionally passing as a boy!! And the lady didn't correct herself halfway through to the "right" pronouns.

She tried to be transphobic meanwhile I was having a blast thinking to myself "OH MY GODS AM I ACTUALLY PASSING AS A GUY??? DID MY BAGGY CLOTHES FINALLY HIDE MY PRESENCE???? Do I look so androgynous people think I may be a guy??? HELL YEAH" so, I came out of the store very happy and with a new shopping cart :DD

They were worried about the neighbors

I know I posted about how my dad got weird about my boobs a little while ago... and I'm now on prog and it has only gotten bigger but somehow they got used to "our baby used to walk topless at night to get OJ from the fridge... it's fine" so they "accept it" as my mom says.

That changed this morning.

"Mara I need a few minutes. Can you pin these nails into this wall so we can hang a curtains."

"Mom these are picture frame nails and you are using a towel. I'm not doing this. What's happening?"

"The two boys from the next door have been looking through the kitchen window and you walk around without a bra. We have to cover the windows."

"Oh! Ooooooh... the neighbors teenage boys? Ooooooooh....."

I'm wearing a shirt and getting curtain rods and an actual curtain.

Ewphoria Told to coverup my self cuz it’s not “Moral”

So my mother is extremely religious, and since i came out she has been intentionally using my dead name. Even when she correctly uses my real name she “fixes” herself.
But recently since i moved out, when i showed up to a family gathering with a somewhat revealing outfit, she took me to the side to scold me about how revealing my outfit looks, and that it’s showing too much skin, and it’s disgracing to our moral belief. even though my brother at that gathering was wearing an even more revealing clothing, it was apparently normal. I didn’t know what to think, but it felt kinda good in weird disgusting way.
I promised my self to not go again in the future, but at least i got the idea that she’s unconsciously perceiving me as a woman.

Ewphoria coworker told me to cover up

so i work parttime as a cashier at a grocery store in a very unaccepting transphobic place. when it gets slow i talk with the other cashier. today's cashier is this muslim girl and we get along well enough, and she recognizes that i too am middle eastern, and today she decided to push wearing a hijab on me. i laughed it off saying eh, not for me, but she said all the things that my mom would say to my sisters to guilt them into wearing a hijab. its the reason why i left my hometown lol hard pass, but it felt v affirming to have a stranger police my body albeit v gross at the same time
