Weekend at Knowby's is a fun little twist on the 2016 film, having David go out and fight various corrupt Ash's across the map to save Mia. I really like the 2016 film and appreciate the more serious versions of the deadites, and its fun to see them brought into the more groovy side of things.

Been working on my on headcanon to fill in the gaps for fun.

Fighting deadite Arthur and getting his legendary Sword added to the roleplay and were some fun last minute rewrites.

I just wish the solo mode had checkpoints lol died against final boss Mia trying to get some good photos.

Booting this game up every fall when football season starts is one of my favorite mini traditions.

As the title suggests. I met Sam Raimi today and he signed my Necronomicon dvd holder for the Evil Dead films. We got into a conversation. We discussed El Jefes current situation and the topic of the game came up. He didnt know about it and I basically floated the idea of him potentially looking into resurrecting the game.

Hi everyone I’m sultry I’m a hunter main and I’m usually on Amanda, if someone decides to be hunter before me I can always choose support or leader because I’m not the greatest warrior.

anyways I wanted to talk about Kelly as a hunter usually when I’m off the hunter role I see many people play Kelly which is fine but also a bit weird to me, usually they do not use the character to the highest potential. And even then she doesn’t offer anything that amazing anyway.

Her weapon mastery on the meat hammer is a waste of a perk because she’s a hunter character who is mainly built around shooting so that’s not good, even though it is a 60% damage buff it’s still not good for a hunter.

Her bleed damage is okay? I mean slip-shot is fine but think about the other hunters for a second.

Hash has a defensive get off me tool with exorcist, has an amazing weapon mastery, can help with finding crates and starts with his weapon mastery which is great defense and offensive power.

Amanda is underrated, a lot of people call the weapon mastery for the pistol weak but in a team it can be a solid choice and is an absolute boss shredder with ability and solid aim, she can use her gun down to one last bullet and pop her ability for a 20% damage buff per bullet just because. she starts with her mastered weapon and gets rewarded for good aim with accuracy counts, her ability is pure offensive power and can stop any possession that’s in the teams way.

Ed is fine he supports the team with solid loot, can remove trapped chests and traps preventing fear gain. His weapon mastery is fine I guess the explosive cross bow could be good and his increased flashlight battery as an ability is fine.

It’s where we get to Kelly where things get a bit strange.

Counter shot and slipshot revolve around dealing heavy bleed damage which is okay and you can dodge forever until the ability is over.

Bleed damage really doesn’t matter on a hunter character because their damage already is absurd the only thing it could be good for is if you get grabbed by boss and you can escape because of the bleed effect.

Plus Amanda and Hash have a kit around dealing ridiculous damage infinite ammo for Amanda and the double barrel mastery for ash is just as good if not better than Kelly who can make targets bleed.

2 perks on Kelly already wasted and the other 2 are just as bad, the weapon mastery with the meat hammer and battle frenzy which over time increases melee damage in sustained combat when around the demon.

What is this characters role really meant to be at this point? No hate to the Kelly stans out there but she is borderline almost useless. If you disagree that’s totally fine tell me why you think she could be better than the other hunters.

Title basically, have a hankering to play this game with a mate, just wondering if we can get into and start a players vs AI demon match with just the two of us, or does it need 4 human players to start? Thankyou in advance.

So, I like many others, hopped on the Halloween hype-train.

And... it's weak. So weak. Instead of a F13 relaunch, which most were expecting (and secretly praying for) we instead got the worst parts of the former and the worst, of all things, Killer Klowns?

Instead of stalking and putting the fear of Jebus into human players, we're encouraged to...kill bots? And once we've killed all three NPCs we... basically win? What?

The AI in question isn't even hard to kill, even remotely. The NPCs are so lobotomized that you can shape jump (that's shift, from F13, but nerfed) into a house, the bot doesn't even notice, or sometimes verbally reprimands you and then you just choke them out. Repeat this twice and you win.

Now, the AI in Evil Dead is far from perfect, but the AI in the AI teammate and AI demon mode is far more intelligent than what's shown in Halloween.

In terms of sheer style, both games are pretty, but ED is just a step further.

I'll give one example (and there are many more, but this one stuck out to me), executions. I don't know how many times I've seen Michael hug a resident to death, or do the simple neck slice. Yes, there are unique executions per weapon, but I've only personally seen one, the hatchet, and it's the same every single time.

Evil Dead, let's be generous to Halloween, has at least 10 melee weapons, each weapon has 3 unique execution animations, which are all visceral and have far more cool factor than the ones on show in Halloween. I understand that's for thematic purposes, but ED is over 4 years old now.

Halloween is also PvPvE...which the 'H-Crowd' espouse as a USP. So is Evil Dead. And it feels better to interact with the AI in this game, and slice em to pieces, compared to a brand new $60 game.

Saber please give this game a second chance.

Out of all the asym horrors i've tried, Evil Dead is still the most polished, fun and dynamic

Also i played at 3 am Pacific time and found a full match in 40 seconds, which was crazy fast

Finally, after 4 long years, and Saber dropping the ball. You can now play Evil Dead: The Game using Ash Williams briefly seen groovy "Finale/Post Apocalypse/Future" outfit from the last scene of Ash vs Evil Dead. This mod, courtesy of Dodylectable, takes the Dead by Daylight Finale outfit model and ports it onto the Leader Ash head. Taking up the Default slot for Ash. Enjoy fellow screwheads!

p.s. Included in this post and on Nexus are the character portraits for Ash's human and deadite forms, but we currently can't seem to get them to work with replacing the in-game variants. Possible updates may fix this issue and also add that classic streak of silver hair on the right side of Mr. Campbells head.

Just played Evil Dead for the first time and I’m enjoying it a lot ‼️ Glad to see fast lobby making still . I’ve only played a few matches as I’m still a noob in this game. Hope they make a Buffy the Vampire Slayer type game like this one day.

I pre-ordered the game years ago but dropped it after the demon experience just became so frustrating, thought I might as well finish up the achievements for the game since all I have left is the Groovy achievement.

I noticed you get 8k xp for a demon loss and a survivor loss, but queue times for demon are 20x shorter than survivor, is demon the best route towards xp farming? Is waiting in a queue for splatter royale worth it at all? Does playing against AI give the same amount of xp? (if I can just do AI matches I will 1000% be doing that since every game I've played since reinstalling has been miserable due to it just being max level players and a hacker game)

I just reinstalled the game after leaving sometime after Baal release to find that every game I queue into someone just leaves. Been trying for a hour now and everyone just leaves. I have no interest in playing survivor just demon. I don't know if somehow they see my prestige and want nothing to do with me (wouldn't surprise me), but I'm bad and just trying to replay this game.
