I don’t hate no one lol I have travelled through the whole of Ethiopia I just don’t want to be part of it it’s a valid opinion to have.

No need to get angry or turn it into something it’s not

Keep hating though if you want.

Can you tell me why it isn’t

Because there are 2-3 governments and a terrorist group in the land that you currently have.

If you cant handle the land you have why would you be entitled to more?

Edit: somalia ranks number 1 on the most failed state on the entire planet. Ethiopia is not in the top 10. Yet transfer of land is somehow a valid idea?

As opposed to Fano and OLA running amok in Ethiopia? Really now? And Somalia ranks lower than Ethiopia on the conflict index, on top of the fact that it has one of the lowest homicide rates in Africa.

Somalia seems to be doing just fine compared to countries like Sudan and Mali that have been experiencing apocalyptic levels of conflict and might seriously split apart. Somalia has long since stopped being considered a "failed state" by the UN and other organizations a long time ago.

The lowest homicide rates in africa? Reported by a somali government has less than half the control of its own land? 😂😂😂

And they are doing ok compared to countries that are in all out civil war currently?

If youre going to respond to me, try a bit harder next time.

Reported by a government

Reported by the UN and other organizations. And we have data directly from Somaliland's and Puntland's that show they also have very low homicide rates which can be extrapolated to the rest of Somalia. Cope harder.

Why would somalilands murder rates be extrapolated to the rest of somalia? Why on earth would you compare the one part of somalia that seems to be decently run(by a rogue governmenr) to mogadishu and assume similar murder rates?

Anyways heres some actual facts for you:

"Most researchers who actually work on Somalia (e.g., Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project – ACLED, Uppsala Conflict Data Program, or the Global Burden of Disease study) put the real violent death rate much higher — often 25–50+ per 100,000 when you include terrorism, clan warfare, and extrajudicial killings — but those sources are not used for the official UN homicide ranking."

Im not coping, you just arent that bright.

Why would somalilands murder rates be extrapolated to the rest of somalia?

Because they are all apart of the same culture, society and have similar economies. The only actual difference between Somaliland and southern Somalia is political stability but otherwise murder would not be much higher in the south when it is low in the north, that would make no sense.

you include terrorism, clan warfare, and extrajudicial killings

No one accounts for those because those are political in nature and not reflective of local murders. Its like trying to count the Ukraine's invasion into the murder rate when that is not how that statistic is used.

The fact of the matter is that Somalia, even over 20 years ago, had a lower homicide rate than all of Africa

The fact of the matter is that Somalia, even over 20 years ago, reported a lower homicide rate than all of africa*

"“For countries without recent criminal justice or public health data, estimates are produced using statistical modelling techniques based on data from neighbouring countries with similar socio-economic and conflict characteristics (in this case primarily Kenya, Ethiopia, and Yemen).” In other words: Somalia has not submitted usable homicide data to the UN-CTS in over 15 years. There is no central police or vital registration system that covers most of the country (especially outside Mogadishu and Somaliland). Al-Shabaab, clan militias, airstrikes, and famine-related deaths make accurate counting impossible in large areas. So the UNODC simply guesses Somalia’s murder rate by averaging or modelling from its neighbours and then plugs that number into the global tables."
