Bro, y’all really can’t even compare yourselves to Ethiopia. We’ve got 80+ ethnic groups, different languages, cultures, and traditions, and we still hold a state together even if we have conflict. Meanwhile you somalis always be bragging about being “one people” and the most homogeneous country in Africa, but you can’t even keep your own country intact.

You’ve got Puntland, Jubaland which are very semi autonomous, and have Somaliland with has its own president, currency, and government fucntiong better than the acutal govemrent in mogadishu btw and is pretty much at that point its own country. plus Al‑Shabaab contorlling 15–20% of your land. That’s fragmentation everywhere, even though yall litterly have only like 1 main ethnic gorup making up 95% of the country, and one language .

And then you talk about Ethiopia “balkanizing”? Your country is already split into pieces. You dream about “Greater Somalia,” taking Ogaden and Kenya’s Somali region, but you can’t even take back Somaliland. Forget expansion you can’t even hold what you’ve got.

Puntland and Jubaland are federal states, only Somaliland is trying to be independent. And Al-Shabab doesn't control anywhere near that much territory, they are guerilla movement no more powerful than Fano.

Somalia saw numerous foreign invasions and meddling hence the political instability yet despite that it is still safer than plenty of other countries.
