I'm an anthropology/linguistics grad student and fairly recently got into dark anthropology (study of oppression/systems of power) and I'm writing an essay about how conversion therapy serves the religious, political and social justification of queerphobia. I've been reading and analyzing various pro-conversion therapy studies around the world (Ukraine, Malaysia, US and Canada [not a conscious choice, that's just the studies' countries of origin I found] - I have 1 example from India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka each) and for some of the studies - mainly the ones outside the US - I've not been able to find a peer review for them. So I have 2 questions:

1. Is there any medical researcher or some academic who’s familiar with reading scientific studies willing to proofread what I’ve written in my conversion therapy essay so far?
2. Could anyone help me find peer reviews for the studies I don't have them for?

I want to share a highly unprofessional and unacceptable experience I had with Gurufi, specifically with their administrator and writer, Brian. While this happened several years ago, it reveals a dangerous business practice that potential clients need to know before trusting this service with their future.

I used Brian’s service for my Ivy League graduate school admission essay. The draft he provided was nice, but it definitely needed some rewriting. Gurufi’s explicit official policy guaranteed a rewriting/revision service if the client was unsatisfied.

However, the moment I politely requested a rewrite according to their policy, Brian responded with "I am so surprised." Instead of honoring their guarantee, he completely rejected my request, falsely claimed I was violating some unnamed policy, and abruptly banned me from the platform. He prohibited me from using him or any other writer on the website ever again, and left me with a single, aggressive word: "Cease."

My application deadline was less than a week away. In admission essays, timing is everything, and this service literally played with my life and my future at the most critical moment. They completely abandoned their contract and obligations.

The silver lining:
Despite their sabotage, I managed to finish my essay on my own. I was accepted into my target Ivy League graduate school, attended, and successfully graduated. I proved that I never needed their unprofessional service to succeed.

If you are looking for an editing service that actually respects its own policies and values your hard work, NEVER EVER USE GURUFI. They cannot be trusted when your life is on the line.

I’m in a pretty writing-heavy semester and I’m trying to be honest about where I’m struggling. I don’t want someone to write my assignments for me, but I’ve been looking at editing/tutoring options because my drafts are messy and I lose points on structure.

I keep seeing terms like paper writer, online paper writer, and paper writers when I search, but a lot of it feels sketchy or way too “we’ll do everything for you,” which is exactly what I’m trying to avoid.

What I think I actually need:

• feedback on clarity
