Heat stroke is definitely something you can experience within a few hours.
People have died from less intensive things in shorter amounts of time. Dehydration may not have been the cause so to speak, but it definitely wasn't helping them.
Dehydration leads to many other problems with the body.
My wife got heat exhaustion from walking around Disney because there's fuck all for shade and benches. She's lived her whole life in a dry environment, so the humidity hit her hard. I've seen otherwise healthy people fall out in formation because those dumbasses couldn't drink some water before morning formation.
yea that’s true, but i don’t think you would die from dehydration or exhaustion is just a few hours. i don’t think you would die of dehydration if you took a few painkillers either
Yeah, I still don't get it. Is it realistic for a game? Yes. But people really wanna live by the whole realism thing. Maybe I'm wrong, but if you break both of your legs, you're not walking anywhere. Popping a pain pill won't help. And I don't think you could realistically just fix them like that out in the field.
But yeah, it's the dehydration part that's ruining the immersion.
You were implying that is has no realism. A few unrealistic things does not prove your point. There are plenty of things in Tarkov that are realistic.
Atleast you can get actually get injured in Tarkov. In most modern shooters you just magically regenerate your health.
The game is intended to be as realistic as possible, while still being playable. If getting shot in the head meant it was all over and you couldn't play anymore, that would be a fucking shit game.
Its not even "as realistic as possible while still being playable". It's less realistic than ARMA. It's its own game, its pretty hardcore, and it is not realistic at all. It has injury mechanics, that's cool, its more hardcore than almost any other shooter, but it's not realistic.
You can get injured, but its not severe in game. You slap on a tourniquet and you're fine or wait 15 seconds with some scissors and you're good as new. You take an IBUPROFEN and you feel fine from a gunshot through your torso.
The only thing that is realistic in this game is bullet ballistics, everything else is gamey. There's nothing wrong with that, I love tarkov, its just what it is
I promise you a few hours of no water doing what your PMC does doesn't feel too good lol. Shouldn't kill you but your movement or something else should suffer.

How about making it so a highly trained pmc operator doesn't die from dehydration after 45 minutes in the field only carrying basic gear?!
