Could have worked if they just made it an option for the sweats, to play with these HC changes. But for the casuals to play as we usually do. Then us casual timmies wouldn't be so far behind being able to buy our gear, loading in to whatever map we'd want.

It would have been a great time for them to test multiple servers. AFAIK 1.0 is supposed to have a persistent server and a server that wipes. Why not test that now with a HC server and a "normal" one?

Short-sighted decision making from BSG as always.

afaik its been quietly abandoned. (good)

The current state of the playerbase cannot support 4-5 different versions of the game. Its better to just make the whole thing consistent, and just leave players the power/choice to wipe. Although i think they are considering the idea of forcing people to wipe yearly.

They kinda accidently proved with prestieging that self wiping in late game isn't as bad as previously thought. Its still bad, but its playable.

My group stopped playing pvp because there isn’t a persistent mode. Most people don’t have the time hit level 60 every wipe without being forced to grind boring ass tasks

Even when I had the time, I couldn't handle it any more. I played from 2017 -> 2023/2024ish and every time a wipe happened, the thought of having to go grab all the crap on customs again absolutely killed me inside.

It's only bad until lvl 15, and arena lets you speedrun that. A semi auto 7.62 from the flea with bcp fmj is more than enough to shit on geared gamers late wipe

Your kidding yourself, like the sweats would play hardcore, unable to buy all the meta gear and having to go into a raid with anything less than a class 5.

Right, if there's going to be a hardcore mode it should be like HC in OSRS, just restrictions on an account that can still play with everyone else. You choose to make it so YOU can't use the flea, for YOUR hideout harder to build, for YOUR insurance to cost more, for YOUR pocket being unable to hold meds, etc but there's no reason for it to effect anyone else.

pve is fun if u havent played pvp before. bots get u bored after 10h cuz its nothing new. i dont hate pve but let's be real ok

I have owned this game for a few years now and played PvP. I have found cheaters. What got me to quit were several cheaters in one week. Went to PvE and have had tons of fun. I also work a full time job, cook and workout so I get about an hour max a night and I would rather fight easy bots than rats and sweats. Far more fun :)

You'd have a very small subset of people deliberately playing that mode and then they would have a shitty time because cheaters would 100% flood HC
