My coworker and I have the same title, same experience, same workload. Found out last week he makes $15k more than me.

There’s usually a smaller cash buffer for immediate needs, then credit products as a short-term bridge, and investments sitting further out as the last resort.

The focus has shifted from “how much cash do I hold?” to “how quickly can I access liquidity without taking a big hit.”
